Do people not realize that nobody in other countries would complain about a kid playing up or down? It is only in America because money and parents are involved. In high school you can have a 3-4 year difference and you are complaining about U9-U12? Winning tournaments at these ages nobody cares about but clubs like Matchfit who are desperate for publicity. Just let the kids play. Let the kids play whenever. Go to a park in Europe or Africa and you see kids of all ages just playing. Nobody is complaining about a 1 year difference.... Agreed with no problem playing with older kids, but when one team is following the rules and not having older kids on the team, that team is at a disadvantage. And the difference between 2008, 2009 and 2010
can be huge as girls hit puberty and their bodies mature. So one team following the age rules and the other not following them makes it harder for the team following to win games.

Who told you the other countries will allow the old kids play down. Don’t fool around here. You should go visit other countries to see how their youth soccer plays. Play up is ok but play down is not allowed anywhere, only cheaters do it.

They actually do bio-banding where smaller, older kids are allowed to play down. The argument isn’t of older kids should play with younger ones. It’s when the rules say they can’t and one team breaks those rules they gain an unfair advantage.
