Its a showcase not a tournament. Teams rotate players and get everyone pretty equal time at these events.

The Pda blue are playing CFC ecnl at a couple ages so they do give themselves at least one reasonable game.

It's a showcase. Players want to win but they're there to perform in front of coaches. Club coaches rotate the entire roster so everyone gets half a game or so. College coaches don't care who wins or loses but players need to dazzle when on the field

No necessarily. Bench players are simply not as strong as the starters. Doesn't mean they "stink". It's all relative. It also means they may be playing out of position or the team can't get a rhythm going with frequent subs.

No necessarily. Bench players are simply not as strong as the starters. Doesn't mean they "stink". It's all relative. It also means they may be playing out of position or the team can't get a rhythm going with frequent subs.

Or perhaps the coach doesn’t like them, see them as a good player. It happens all the time. That’s when you bite the bullet and find a coach who believes in you. College coaches see the minutes played prior to the showcase which is why the showcase is a joke. They know exactly who starts and doesn’t and so having the bench players come on the field for the first time all season does nothing for them.
