Just curious as to why the boys were in the Central Group 4 bracket for playoffs while the girls were in Central Group Jersey 3.. it is the same school.. shouldn't they be in the same group?

Not necessarily. They go by enrolled student numbers and geography. If every school had both a boys and soccer program they would always be in the same group, but this isn't the case. The way it worked out with enrollment numbers for Girls Central Jersey was Princeton HS landing at #21 for enrollment numbers. Top 20 were assigned group 4. Princenton are the largest Group 3 Girls team. Similarly, West-Windsor Plainsboro North and Northern Burlington are Group 4 for Boys, but Group 3 for Girls. Edison is Central Jersey Group 4 for Girls, but for boys they are North Jersey 2 Group 4. Rancocas Valley is Central Jersey Group 4 for Girls, but South Jersey Group 4 for boys.Originally posted by Guest View Post
