What has happened at that club? Yesterday I saw a video of my daughter sat in her session with a coloring book? We pay a lot of money for her to play soccer not to have her sat doing a coloring book as “team bonding” used to be a great club but they are totally finished

Lol! You don’t have a daughter at the club. You saw a video posted to their Instagram stories (no idea why you follow them) and are trying to stir up some negativity.

If you want to bash the club, just do it. No need to fabricate a backstory pretending you have anything to do with the club though.

10 minutes of team bonding is nothing to worry about.

10 minutes with the crayon book will do them wonders. STA are always finding new cutting edge ways to teach kids

I think if you have kids sat on a turf field with crayons and coloring books you’ve opened yourself up for that. Imagine having the luxury of an indoor turf facility and using it to get the crayons out lol

STAs younger teams are all below average at this point. They have a few good GA teams but they do not have a strong future as their coaches are leaving along with their players. Everybody is seeing the writing on the wall. To bring up a coloring book though to say this is just dumb. Just say your thoughts.

              Did “your daughter” have fun?
I saw the video, are you sure it was a coloring book? Didn’t look like it to me.
If you have an issue with it, why not contact the coach?

Not sure how one qualifies below average for a player under 12. If teams are winning then they are above average?
Younger players at 7v7 or 9v9 should only be focused on development before 11v11. All that matters is that they enjoy the game, learn to play properly, be a good teammate and get the basics down. STA does a good job at that.

Winning at u-little doesn't matter. Why do parents focus on things like a state title or top flight tournament win at u8, u9 or even u13. Learn how to play and have fun or you won't make it into the HS years.

Because parents get swept up and super excited. Not sure why but it happens to the best of us. Until your kid gets older and then you realize it was nonsense and you don’t remember a single game before age 14. Neither does your kid.

Except the players and parents that peaked before age 14. They don't forget those games.

No it makes more sense to go onto an anonymous blog and complain. Trolls.

Yeah I guess so. It just becomes a totally different experience as they get older— I do miss the little feet. What I’m trying to say- enjoy them.

Yes enjoy every moment while they're young.

STA is a great environment for enjoying high level soccer.
