PDA 3 Bethesda 0. Score was 0-0 at halftime. Bethesda did not have 2 of it's starting midfielders. PDA is now the ONLY team to beat Bethesda by more than two goals since 2019, 4-1 and 3-0.
PDA is the better team versus MFA on this age. Much better defense. The midfield and forward positions are a toss up. PDA also plays smarter soccer which I guess can be attributed to the coach.
As for non-factors, the PDA players are much nicer kids overall. They show great sportsmanship and complimented our team after the game. While they play physical, it is a smart physical and not dirty. The players all seem to get along great and also rally around MS. The PDA parents have also showed class in the times we have played them. They did have one parent who was a little over enthusiastic and loud, but that was it.
MFA on the other hand is a much different story. Multiple accounts of dirty plays from stepping on the back of cleats during dead balls, hitting the goalie when she has possession and some players even cussing at teammates on the field of play. Nasty comments were also said to our players. Even by the parents, who were telling their DDs that they are better than our girls, they aren't good, and also commented on one of our defenders size while leaning on the fence at Morris Catholic School. The Ref actually stopped the game to address one of these parents. Other parents were yelling at the refs and a bit out of control, not understanding the rules of the game. Another parent will sit behind one of the goals yelling as well. On the positive side, there was never any issues experienced with RT. As far as we are concerned he is a good game coach. It was quite the opposite from our first meeting in which the parents were reserved however many of the same on field issues were reported.
After our experience with both teams, I must say we can't help but cheer on PDA. This is only because both the kids and parents seem to be class acts and exude great sportsmanship. I truly wish I could say the same for MFA because I want all North Atlantic ECNL teams to succeed. Best of luck to the PDA girls this weekend.

Should be a fun and exciting game this weekend....they both very well may be the two best teams on the easy coast in both the 09' and 08' divisions. Weather looks to be a non-factor and let's just hope for some good soccer with no excuses and NO drama!

That’s true - they probably will only have seven other coaches on the sidelines helping out good old Saint Nick!

Love how this idiot comes on a different states forum to give his firsthand knowledge. If you have such a problem with the way parents act at a game why don’t you say something while you’re at the game?!?! Instead you wait till you get home to go on an anonymous forum on the internet to vent your frustration and give your opinion like anyone gives a ****. You are a sad little coward of a man.

I don't care if it's Poland. If parents and kids want to act in such a manner, be prepared for others to talk. That's life. If you don't like it, tell you parents to be quiet and encourage there own team in a respectful manner and not insult or disparage the opposing team. If you want to yell at the refs, make sure you know rules, i.e. players can be offsides on free kicks...

You must be the one telling his DD to step on the back of opposing players' cleats, lol. Just a guess. I prefer smart man or thinking critically rather than cause and react. Would rather do this than something stupid at a pre-teen soccer that gets me kicked out games for the foreseeable future, all while making a fool of myself in front of the players and parents. You obviously advocate saying something to an opposing team and then reacting. Let me know how that goes. I can only hope you follow through and somebody has there phone out to record. Maybe you will even go viral.
"You are a sad little coward of a man."
Maybe but please see my previous answer.
Good luck this weekend! I'm sure you will be on best behavior as your game is away.

It gets old Daddy ball with all the excuses, you lost and your daughter is a loser just like POPPA .
