When coach repeatedly stops practice when it’s your kids turn to touch the ball. When coach makes your kids name sound like a curse word during games or practice.
move on dude has an inferiority complex, lack of patience, and probably shouldn’t be coaching your kid.

When the coach stops developing your kid

        - When your child is the top 1-2 players on a team that has a losing record in flights 2 or greater. If your child is good, they need to be playing with and against better players that will challenge them.
        - When your child is the bottom 1-3 players and is hardly getting any playing time. Your child needs to move to a team that will give him more touches.

Development is also partly on the player. Face it, some kids are lazy plus coaches only have so much time with them each week. If a coach assigns homework your kid should be doing it. 2-3 practices a weeknis only going to move the.dial so much

But certainly if a coach has given up on your kid, first have a talk with the coach. Maybe it's a fixable issue. If things don't improve look for a better fit.

Don’t assume there is laziness involved when a kid busts their a** off, doesn’t miss a practice, does stuff on their own, to get crumbs of playing time snd gets 0 feedback from coach. It gets old.

When your kid is one of the top players but the coach won't give time because of issues with a parent or because manager's kid wants to play the same position

When the parents dictate to the coach how to run the team and the coach goes with it.
When kids get extra playing time based on how much they can fundraise.
When favorites are allowed to make mistakes that become a teaching moment and a non favorite makes a mistake and gets ripped into.
When favorites play like crap the whole entire game and team continously loses and the non favorites don't get a chance to get off the bench.

When a favorite plays entire games in a position they are good at only to be moved to a position they totally suck at but still get the same minutes and the team starts to lose..all because their parent started to complain to the coach about wanting to play a more celebrated position. Idiocy.

several of these posts all resonates with teams my kids have been on. I’ll add to this one.
                        paying customers gets no feedback
new kid shows up to tryout takes time away from paying customers.
New kids family gets walked off the field by coach with absurd amounts of complements.
Once they pay & become a paid customer they are forgotten about by coach.
I’ve seen it happen so many times at several places

When your kid wants the opposing team to win and silently cheers inside at every goal they score.
