By now everyone heard the news about Tetros comments on the field to a bunch of 12 year old girls. Tetro, his players, and mostly the parents, went into this past tournament with the same arrogance that have displayed the past year, that they are the best and everyone else sucks. There has been post ontop of post on this forum from them bragging about their wins, their got soccer rankings, and that everyone else, every other club, every other coach, all suck and the kids are "pieces of ****". PDA is not perfect, but I can't ever remember a PDA parent coming on here ever calling out other little girls saying that they "heybsuck and couldn't make one of our teams", and calling the kids "pieces of ****" and "losers". The Matchfit Shore parents own that honor all to themselves. Tetro was obviously upset his team was losing/lost to PDA. They have been a thorn in his side since he was at CSA. There has been plenty of talk on here about MF Shore having a 4 month advantage over all the clubs that actually followed the country wide shutdown of youth sports. People also commented that the clubs that followed the rules will get caught back up to where they were prior to the shutdown, and that MF Shore will slowly lose their advantage over everyone else. We have seen the slow decline of this team the past few months. Tetro proved once again yesterday that he cares nothing about his players, only his ego. Once again he denied his girls a opportunity to be proud of their accomplishments. We saw it on his face from the second place Supercopa awards photo. This jerk couldn't crack and grin, nevermind a smile, in the photo. The girls won 2nd place which was still a big deal. But because they didn't win first, he had to make it known he wasn't happy. Screw the girls feelings, he was more worried about his own. And once again this past weekend he robbed his girls of that same experience. This time though it was because this asswad was afraid of confrontation from NH and the PDA parents about his on field comments. You should be, you drunken loser. This guy jetted from the field faster than a cat from a dog. Funny how none of your parents came to your defense these past couple of days. They are ashamed and embarrassed by your comments. To bad your not. It's just a shame your kids don't get the respect they deserve because of your actions. Maybe it's time to lay off the bottle and reevaluate your priorities. These girls deserve more than having a drunken, arrogant, loser as a role model. Contrary to popular belief, it's not about you, but about these girls. Someday DB will wake up and do his job, and put an end to Tetro and his behavior. Why any club would want an alcoholic to represent them is beyond me, and Tetros reign of having a #1 team slowly fading away will definitely raise some concern. And a final note, every single kid that moves onto a new club was obviously trained by other coaches. People like to say NH got kids that were trained by others. Only thing that seperate NH from RT is that the kids on RT's team need to be trained by outside coaches even during the season because Tetro couldn't coach to save his life. PDA tends to discourage outside training. I'd be shocked if none of your parents are starting have second thoughts about having their young girls around you for another season. I feel bad for them, and mostly for the goalie that let in the 3 goals during the PDA match. Tetro will be looking to get rid of here asap. No suprise there, thats his mo....

I've been hesitant to post on here, but people have the right to know what they're getting into coming to the 09 team that he "coaches". If all you and your kid care about is winning when they're 11, then this is the team for you. Every girl works extremely hard on the team, with all doing outside training most days when not at team practice or games. It's highly competitive to get and maintain a spot as well as have consistent minutes. There's usually a ton of out of state travel involved, such as Jeff Cup, Super Copa, Bethesda, Disney, etc. The team typically tries to play the best in the region, and as there weren't any 09 teams that could keep up, have moved on to 08s. There are a lot of standouts from the area as he has managed to attract them over the past few years of team iterations.

Sounds fine, right? Just be aware, the actual team training is bad. It's almost exclusively scrimmaging, so your kid better keep up with the outside training. New kids almost always get preference for spots and minutes (except for the few short listed that he makes a point to be friendly with their family). He is always recruiting, so don't be surprised if there is a random new kid or two at a practice or tournament. He recruits regardless of how good the current roster is, so be prepared for your kid to eventually cede time unless they are one of the 3 or 4 favorites that never come out. The parents on the team are on the whole ok, but there are a half dozen that either scream like animals from the sidelines and/or you can't trust. These people are looking out for their kid and their kid's spot above all else.

For the actual soccer, it's kick and run soccer with a lot of individual performances. There is no actual strategy, but as most of the kids are so good, it typically doesn't matter. There are a few that usually only pass to each other, which isn't discouraged. There is no adaptation on the field, so don't expect a change even if things aren't working or his favorites aren't playing well. Your kid isn't getting more playing time if a regular is off her game. Your kid may get pulled though if they aren't on that short list, and he has no issue making derogatory statements about kids on the team directly to their teammates.

About the actual person, the poster above is correct. The guy can't be trusted. He will say anything to get your kid on the team as well as to keep you on the team (unless he recruits a replacement, then your kid is screwed). He has no eye for talent other then goals, speed, etc so don't think he can tell if your kid is better than another he just played against. He didn't play soccer past high school and doesn't have something like an A license for coaching bonafides. He didn't have a successful coaching history prior to the 09s, so don't expect a list of kids that have gone on to D1 schools or have gotten scholarships. If you know anything about soccer or have gone through youth soccer with a prior kid, then you'll quickly see he's out of his depth and frequently makes recruitment decisions on look and what a few of the parents recommend to him.

You stay for the wins and the competitive atmosphere. If money is no object, your kid is flashy and can keep ahead of her potential replacements (while still wanting to train and play in that type of environment), you stay away from certain parents, you don't care about the lack of training and don't mind the outside training time, and you don't take anything the coach says as fact, then knock yourself out. If your kid does get an invite and you want to try it out, I recommend asking for a year on the house.

Don't you mean a big spoiled baby that cries and has a nervous breakdown when he doesn't get his way? What an awesome role model for kids.
