Our practices are mostly rondos and scrimmages with set piece training mixed in. The scrimmages aren't even coached. He just rolls the ball on the field and watches them play. No idea what his role is. I honestly cringe any time I take my kid to practice, but there's nothing I can do about it until we get to the end of the season.
Honest questions - not trying to rub salt in the wound.

    1) Is it really true that the MFA technical director has no soccer certification? That he is, in fact, a lawyer whose soccer "expertise" was coaching NJ travel soccer in USYS back in the 90s?

    2) If so, are you surprised at the lack of real training?

Your inclination to switch clubs is a good one.

This is true. Sometimes he talks to other parents on the field while the girls scrimmage, sometimes he is on his phone. he never corrects them, he never stops and makes them reset, he never holds them accountable for mistakes which is why some of them are unable to receive constructive criticism to make their game better. They aren’t pushed. It’s pretty terrible.
