    NL pro?

    Thoughts on this new league?

Not really "new", same USYS NL with a different name.

Not the same. Only a few teams from each state will be on the NL PRO.

And that is different from the old NL how? Actually, NL teams used to have to be the 1st place team to get in. This looks like it is expanded with all those at large teams.

          So, isn't that a difference?

In any case, teams will play one local game, plus 3 games in two locations, Orlando, Florida, and Arizona, for a total of 7 games.

A geography teacher did not come up with the naming convention.

My son plays teams from Louisiana and Missouri. That didn’t happen last season for his national team division. Call it what you want but you can’t say it’s the same.

Sure it is, same teams playing in a slightly different format. In the next year or 2 they'll call it USYS Champions League.

Slightly different format? We never played 7 games in a tournament setting in two parts of the country for the national league games. Which would make it completely dofferent.

Considering they linked the past NL series as the past NL Pro and during NL you would basically do the same thing ie travel to an event to play several games several times during the year, yes it is the same thing with a slightly different format. I still fail to see why they have this and the National Championship. Seems kind of redundant and more costly to the better teams who do both.
