Part of US Club Soccer’s state championship program, the New Jersey Cup is open to all US Club Soccer member teams in the state. Non-member teams may apply to the New Jersey Cup by also registering with US Club Soccer.

The 2012 event will be the eighth edition of the New Jersey Cup. A record 623 teams participated in the 2011 New Jersey Cup, up from 521 teams in 2010.
The New Jersey Cup will begin in March with preliminary-round games at the fields of designated home teams as determined by Cup officials. Teams that win their first game will advance in the single-elimination championship bracket, while teams that lose their first-round game will move into the single-elimination consolation bracket. Teams with first-round byes will not be eligible for the consolation bracket.
The semifinals and finals will be held May 12-13 at a neutral site.
A Super Group (top level) and Premier division will be offered in the U-11 through U-14 age brackets.
New Jersey Cup championship-winning teams in the U-13 through U-17 age groups will qualify for a National Cup XI Regional event, as the $895 registration fee will be waived for the Regional of their choice.
