It all depends on the environment that your daughter played. The club is just the platform for her to become the best player she can be. There are more players at a club who do not succeed to get to the next level. Very few PDA Blue players are good enough to play P5, top 30 college programs. PDA Blue is just the platform that allows the best players to train together and play at all the top college showcases in front of hundreds of coaches. Yet, few make it to the top of the soccer pyramid. It has nothing to do with the club but rather it’s all on the player. Every player develops differently regardless of the club. No club teaches mental toughness or soccer IQ. Either you develop it on your own or not.

Let’s be fair many kids can’t play top 30 soccer…… PERIOD! PDA Blue does what it can to prepare the kids in the little time they have to prepare them. Many Blue teams are the most technical and tactical teams in the area. There isn’t a magic wand you can waive over a kid that makes them able to play in top 30 programs. There are only about 1000 kids in the country who are doing that. PDA produces a few of those per year if they are lucky. And it’s nothing to be ashamed if either. It’s actually a testament to how good they get these girls to play together. Bc they do compete at a very high level against many teams that are physically bigger faster and stronger than they are.

Correct. Overestimating talent is the issue. Congrats to your daughter and you.

Lot of overestimated talent going on.

Saying its the clubs responsibility is just another parent excuse.
So what is all that tuition money for? Just to be on a team and have games to play in? Someone at PDA admitting PDA doesn't develop players even though it is part of the name is refreshing.

All clubs charge fees. What is your point? I am not associated with pda at all, ever. And i know that clubs do not develop players. They teach them the game, how to play, basics and slightly more, use games and drills to help hone and get them seen by college ciachesbto play in college and get some money off of your large college bill. That is the job of a club.

The fees (not tuition) is for facility rental expenses, coaches salaries, taxes, etc. All of that included.

Totally agree. The greatest coach ever can only take a player so far. Clubs only have kids a few hours a week. Some kids simply aren't going to go far because of genetics and/or not putting in extra time on their own. Some are blessed with a 6th sense of the field. Some spend the time watching pro games to learn more. Also, kids learn the fundamentals at ulittle with low level pro coaches or parent volunteers who often didn't play themselves. Abroad, kids learn from pros or parents who played at high levels. They participate in a lot more free play. There is no emphasis on winning at ulittles so kids are given a chance to learn from their mistakes.

Sunday game vs Wisconsin in Madison. Tough match up. They just couldn't figure it out this season.

You never know! Wisconsin pulled off an away upset (and against the wind). Could catch them off guard.

Rutgers without PDA is last place in the Big 10.

Actually, that is true. Because they have no other foundations; feeder clubs. They have a sprinkle of other clubs here and there. But no pipeline.

They need Carli to help get that underway. Put her mark on this and clubs and top players will be kicking in the RU's doors.

Purdue is near the bottom with better flashy things than RU.

Why when the players at other New Jersey clubs , except for a couple, just aren’t as good.
