How does one become a thread moderator? Is it self-assigned or are you nominated? Is there a vote?

Once again I have no direct correlation to Rutgers. I happened to be born nearby but that’s not relevant

I merely gave an opposing view to some who think playing is the only factor. Some want to fight for their spot and accept the risks, some want it handed to them with little risk. Not says anything is right or wrong. On her behalf, she spent a lifetime playing great and losing games. She had opportunities to continue to do that, maybe win a teeny conference title and get bounced after a game. She wanted to see if she could compete against the best players around. Will she? Time will tell, money’s still green

I think your responding to the dad whos kid is not going to Rutgers but following her dreams of being on the bench at some other big time school which is completely off topic

                • What are the 5-6 colleges in your area that you are referring to that are better options than RU?

                • PSU, Villanova , UPenn, Princeton, St. Joe’s, Lehigh, even Bucknell University, and if she wants to play D3 but attend a great school academically you can add additional 5 to 6 schools.

She wanted to be on the best team she could (yes academics location finances etc) and have to work for it. She has always dreamed of sitting the bench for a Big School

She got her wish. Her team will make noise in the thr NCAA’s and she hasn’t played much as a first year. She’s ok with it, for now. Probably even next year but by year 3 I expect something different

Its tougher on me than on her right now.

she could be playing on crappy teams but not what she wanted

Not playing until a Junior means they didnt play as a freshmen/sophomore? Are u really that dense vocabulary wise?

It is only her and your opinion she would be playing on a weaker squad. Maybe not, she isnt cutting it where she picked.

And where does it say it was her dream?

Her goal (not dream) was to compete and play at a top program, with a realistic expectation it wouldn’t come easy.

I moved out of NJ years ago-when did you all get so dense?

So a Fetterman voter it is. Not shocking.

Strange how goal is a synonym for dream.

a cherished aspiration, ambition, or ideal:
"I fulfilled a childhood dream when I became champion" · "the girl of my dreams" · "they'd found their dream home"
                              SIMILAR:
                              ambition
                              aspiration
                              hope
                              goal
                              design
                              plan
                              aim
                              object
                              objective
                              grail
                              holy grail
                              target
                              intention
                              intent
                              desire
