Ok, then how are players placed on the right team. Does the coach's write-up of the player matter?

there are something like 90 HS that play soccer in NH

they pick 11 kids for 1st team and another 11 for 2nd team and then pick HM

coaches submit their own players for conf accolades- (they do play each other, so they know the kids) they rank them and give out their awards
1st team all conf becomes your all state ballot- coaches do their due diligence and rank those kids and pick those teams
all state becomes your all region ballot and all region is your AA ballot

its not that hard to figure out, and the pandemic has no bearing on any of it

What about the prior post that stated there would be no voting - the team the player is on whatever the coach specified (1st->HM)

Mine as well. Our family is really appreciative of new format. Normally girls from our team don't get much if any ever recognition for all state. D2 is a tough group of teams. So this format certainly opened doors.

We can all see through this strange and pathetic ruse. I have such a hard time understanding why someone would purposefully come on here and comment like this simply to belittle high school children and attempt to demean their accomplishments. It’s really disturbing.

What accomplishments? There will be some incredible players on 1st team and rightfully so. You'll also have some players, from very weak teams that went winless and were blown out every game, on 1st team as well. Doesn't make a whole lot of sense so the prior crude statement that you're responding to holds merit.

With all due respect this is not All-State if it picked by your own coach. It it the All-Team team. Let's hear from folks when this is released and see if you even agree with the selections and order of your own players made by your own coach. At the end of the day I am more proud of objective measures/iconic moments for my own kids than subjective awards. Scoring the tying goal in round 5 of PKs in the state semifinals, winning in round 9, and then winning a second state championship. Or other child setting up the winning goal in the quarterfinals from an outside defender position. But hey that's just me.

For All State, they should be looking at clubs soccer as well. Oftentimes tough for a player to shine when all they have is crap around them on the HS team.
