No, MA ODP is not better. I have been a PA on both sides. I have had kids play both sides. In the end, my opinion both programs have nice pros; however, both programs have some serious fualts.
I will assume that you are familar with the NH program. Recent postings on the MA thread (of this forum) will give you a taste of some of the ills in MA.
One thing that is the exact same for MA and NH. The players that I was exposed to this year, in both states, uniformly did NOT want to attend ID Camp. These are players a few years in to the program, and in both states.
The one thing MA may have is the ability to draw from a larger pool. Sorry, numbers game again. So, in MA your child has a better chance (not a given) of playing in a pool of stronger talent for 8-10 practices, 3 or so Rider games, and a scrimage or two.
And, as some have said on the MA forum. To call it a Development Program is incorrect. It is an ID program for one or two local players. Development has to come outside of this program.
Just one person's view of the MA/NH ODP world.

Any New Hampshire players make the boys call back camps or the girls regional pools at the recently concluded Id camps?
