3 girls left DA from 02 & 03 and made FC Stars in Lancaster. DA is a good NPL team, which is what they should have stuck with, but $$$ rules

Feeder, I would argue, on the boys side, Bedford is better than even the DA

Bedford boys are pretty good. Not sure I would go that far, but an argument could be made and I wouldn't push back all that hard.

Here is hoping that Seacoast prospers from the demise of GPS. It's always been a total complete waste of time driving way up to Seacoast to beat them by 3 or 4 or even 5 goals. My daughter's team is 8-0 against Seacoast and the games are never close. Seacoast has 2/3 decent girls but they NEVER EVER have more than 3 subs and their girls are super tired by the 2nd 1/2.

LET'S GO SEACOAST!!!!!!!! Build a good club and if GPS helps you then have at it!!!!

LOL, while agree let's build a good club you also realize you never played their best teams, right?

I'm a Seacoast parent and I agree with this. Both the A and B teams at our age group are spread too thin. Even when they're doing well, they're gassed by the 2nd half. Also there is one decent GK at our age, leaving the B team having to work twice as hard to stay in a game. They will definitely all benefit from the infusion of the GPS players. Now let's hope IS and crew don't mess it up and put the right players on the right teams.

I agree they are thin, but I also am not sure how this will help that. Players were brought under the Seacoast 'umbrella', but they also added teams so it could be a net/net equal.

However, what could be a benefit is if some GPS players can improve their DA teams. I get the impression it will only be slightly, but I don't pick the rosters.

That is fine but if one club's NPL team is driving a couple hours to play another club's NPL team, they should be able to expect quality competition. What does it say for Seacoast when the only way our B team could get a good game is by playing your A team? Not knocking the kids. NH is smaller with limited depth and having 2 big clubs in a small region may have been too much. I'm just hopeful that this increases strength across most teams is all. Better experience for all players, Seacoast included.

Huh? What makes you think your B team could get a good game by playing their A team?

When did your B team ever play their A team? What are you talking about?

Try to keep up. It was said that those 7-0 blowouts were because we hadn't seen their best teams. Presumably the poster (you?) was implying their best teams are their A teams, no?

If you're telling me our NPL B team isn't challenged because we're not seeing your "best teams", I would have to assume you're saying the A teams are better and could give us that challenge. I guess that isn't so, though. Sounds like you agree our B team could even beat down your A team. Sad, but it's your $ to waste.

Let me make it even clearer, since this seems hard for you.

At our age group, our DA team delivered a beat down to your DA team. Our NPL team delivered a beat down to your NPL team. I was merely hoping that, if it were ever possible, our NPL team might have a competitive game against your academy team. Obviously there isn't a team at our age group that could challenge our academy girls.

Since that can't happen (because the world might end if your academy teams actually played in the league they belong in), I was hoping maybe the GPS players might add strength to both levels so we can stop driving 90 minutes for crappy play.

Now this might not be true at your kid's age group and that is great. But it's true for mine. In the past, Seacoast and CT games were met with dread. Long drive, guaranteed easy win. No challenge.

                                GPS doesn't have DA teams.

I guess I missed the point of your original rant. I was under the (false) assumption you were speaking of GPS. So, you have no affiliation with either club? Why are you on a NH board then?

I am still not seeing where SU's A teams played your B teams. Could you provide a link?

What I find most interesting is this statement:

"Obviously there isn't a team at our age group that could challenge our academy girls."

I won't speak for all, but for our age group there was a single game since DA was started that weren't close games well into 2nd half. And, that game was only 1-0 at the break; there is a list of excuses as to why, but in the end it doesn't matter.
