Having a hard time with signing a contract for next year for a super club after the terrible refund. Too much uncertainty. After almost 10 years of paying for club soccer-this season exposed the corporate greed behind "club" soccer. They want signed contracts/commitments in May/June for a season 10 months away. Just a bit weary and hesitant…after losing so much money on the refund.

If you’ve been in club soccer for “10 years”. You should know that they always send out commitments in June, even if the season starts at the end of the summer, or after HS soccer has finished up. So not much difference.

Yep multiple kids in multiple clubs for 10 years. Never have had to sign a contract in early May....with payment nevertheless....always late June or July after the "tryouts." And never after just losing a large sum of money for cancelled seasons. Highly aware of the change in contractual terminology now written in the contracts. Seems like a ploy to lock people into contracts considering the uncertainty of the future.

Offers for top teams at most big clubs are out before “tryouts” This is the case every year, not just this year. My kid got her offer the same time in May last year. The year before, she was coming from another club and got an offer in April for the following fall. Offers going out in May is not at all unusual.
