Throwing our a bold statement that the Exeter Girls might be most accomplished girls program in state history. You can immediately argue that Manchester West owns that crown and you have a solid argument to that point. My counter would be that woman's soccer has come a long long way since the West dynasty years of the late eighties and nineties. You may also argue for Hanover but winning in a lesser division against weaker teams disqualifies them in my view.
What Exeter has done over the last 14 years (9 finals appearances with 8 wins) is truly a remarkable accomplishment. Unlike West, who faced a smaller pool of talent and Hanover, that may have seen 1 or 2 'quality' foes each year, Exeter did this against Bedford, Londonderry, Central, Pinkerton, Concord, BG etc. That's a greater mountain to climb each year.
My kids all went to Nashua schools and we always held Exeter as the gold standard. I don't see that ending anytime soon.
