    D1 boys

I am surprised that no one is choosing Hanover, who beat Central at Gill. The score was closer than it should have been if not for a freak handball in the box. I believe we see a Bedford / Hanover final.
Bedford is very tough but will have a hard time with Windham in the semis, Windham finished strong, peaking at the right time.

One at a time at this stage, it will be fun to watch..

On Another note. When is NHIAA going to get there stuff together and start addressing the misplacement of some of the teams in the wrong divisions.
      For example:
      D1 Boys = Spaulding 0-16 (4 goals for and 93 against)
      D1 Girls = Spaulding 0-16 (5 goals for and 109 against)
      D2 Boys = Kingswood 0-16 (7 goals for and 78 against)
      D2 Girls = West 1-15 (4 goals for and 120 against)

There are more examples this year and every past year. The NHIAA needs to rethink the way they do things or get some new blood who won't be happy with status quo. I feel bad for the players who are subjected to play in divisions where they clearly do not belong. I wonder if the heads of NHIAA were former players or just lifelong administrators. If they played they would know what an embarrassment it is to lose like that game in and game out. It's a major failure every year.

        If Windham even gets there.

Interesting take that Bedford will have a hard time with Windham in the semis.... I don't see it, but would love to see some good games and not blowouts... so, I'm all for it.

I agree! I have no easy answers in how to address the problem, but the issue is not only with the horrible records, but if I'm a player from the towns where you get BEAT DOWN every year in a particular division, why would I want to sign up for that the next year? Kids may just chose not to play who may give it a shot if they were put in a division where they could possibly compete.

This is up to the schools to petition out. They can petition to drop a division but AD's just don't want to do it because of scheduling and status quo.

Don't forget to look at the schools that petition down to win titles either! Stevens girls petitioned down to stay in DIII while their boys stayed in DII. Stevens girls were finalists last season in DIII and are ranked #2. Kearsarge boys do the same thing in basketball. Petition down to be a finalist rather than for the right reasons.

its really up to the AD's - not the NHIAA. Its just laziness on the AD's part.

What stops NHIAA from stepping in and forcing the AD's hand? Somebody needs to police this.

They never have and never will police it. The NHIAA is self policing and self governing. AD's and school administrators run the NHIAA - its not a oversight organization.

Are NHIAA officials elected? Appointed? do they serve terms?

They are hired / selected by the Executive Council which is essentially a "Board of Directors" who are made up of School & District level Administrators. So they typically hire "one of their own". All of the NHIAA Directors have been former School Administrators or Superintendents.

Sums up a lot and probably why no action is taken year over year.

Looks like Hanover barely snuck through against Winnacunnet... with a win in pk's after 2 OT's. Anyone have info on that game? Either way, great job to Winnacunnet (I am NOT a parent/player from there... I assure you), but just fun to see an underdog make it such a close match.

Most games going according to plan with not a lot of major upsets through the first two rounds in the Boys and Girls DI & DII playoff so far, albeit most games were close -

DI Boys: Top Four seeds remain. (1) Bedford v (4) Windham; (2) Central v (3) Hanover
DII Boys: One Top Four seed out. (1) ConVal v (5) Bow; (2) Lebanon v (3) Oyster River

DI Girls: One Top Four see out. (1) Exeter v (5) Concord; (2) Londonderry v (3) BG
                            DII Girls: Top four seeds remain. (1) Hanover v (4) Milford; (2) Hollis-Brookline v (3) Bow

Bedford girls weren’t the same team without their striker who was injured.

                                Agree with that.
