My daughter is in her first year at one of the 2 big clubs in NH. She will be a U13 next year. Do both of these clubs do pre-offers? We moved from another state where that was the norm. Have not heard a peep about next year. Wondering if I need to have her look at other clubs at this point.

Depends on which team she is on, I’m guessing all NPL and Academy offers have been sent out. If your daughter is on a Premier or select team they wouldn’t have sent out the details yet.

So, yes, in the past both of those clubs have done pre-offers, but if you didn't get one doesn't mean you should be looking elsewhere based on that reason alone.

I wouldn't discount her yet. There are a lot of factors running around at tryout time and if she's not targeting the very top team in the club (say she's hoping for NPL, but there's also a DA team above that may take a few younger players), they have to get the higher level teams sorted out first. This can take a while, since players may be holding off making decisions in order to hear from other teams. That said, if you are really set on playing a certain level and willing to change clubs to do so, it's not a bad idea to start thinking about other options just in case.

I agree not all is lost (there's lots of reasons why she may not have heard and each club handles it differently) but you should definitely find a backup plan. You just never know, even when you think it's a sure thing.

My D is also at one of these clubs and I suspect the same one as the OP. My gut is telling me they don't have a clue what they're doing next year as many in our birth year group have said no thanks to their new "top team" offering. The depth just isn't there for 2 top teams.
Personally we are looking elsewhere and will probably accept a spot this week if offered. A bird in the hand. Don't want to wait another month to find out the talent is spread between two top teams and our team now consists mostly of this year's B team (where there are maybe 2 girls ready to move up).

Everywhere else you have a top team made up of MOST of the better players; and a 2nd team that falls into a category that best fits their development and current playing level.
