Huh? They voted to participate in USYSA but then didn't participate in that either? Sounds like a well run organization.

Your basing your impression of how well the organization is run on commentary from TS?

Well, just taking the feedback from this obviously in the know parent who was a part of this vote and keeps insisting SUSC wasn't afraid of losing to GPS but rather wanted the closer USYSA cup. I'm just trying to figure out how they voted and then didn't participate. Sounds like they really listen to their families. Either that or this poster is a DB liar?

Also agree with the statement about NH soccer
Ummm, I think you're the one without a clue. These state cup tournaments are open, both NEP and USYSA. Any team, whether they play in those particular leagues or not, can enter either tournament. As was mentioned in a previous post, last year some Stars teams played in NEP for league play, but entered the USYSA state tournament (not sure if Seacoast is doing the same or not this year).

Because there wasn’t a vote. Even if they did vote to play in USYSA it would have been worse off, as some age groups go straight to regionals without playing a single game. If you knew anything, Maine and NH Joined together for this years states cup for the NEP. So competition would have been much better.

Sigh. Yes, I understand. My point was that this poster, who is trying to sound like he knows all and has the inside scoop, is full of it. Of course there wasn't a vote but if we play along with this moron, the only other conclusion is that SUSC is run by fools who took a vote and then disregarded the results. Point being this guy is lying to save face but making his beloved organization look even worse with his lies.

You are just plain wrong. The reason Maine and NH combined the NEP NH State Cup was BECAUSE Seacoast left NEP State Cup for Maine and NH. Try and keep up joker!

Remember when State Cup was fun and meant something? There would be 6 or 7 teams in some age groups vying for a shot at Regionals. So glad my kids had a chance to experience that.

Seacoast Boys NPL best GPS NPL. I thought they always lost to GPS?

My guess is they had more NH Division 1 recruits

Agreed. Even in MA the list of teams in the newer “NEP State Cup” is a third the size of last year’s list. Teams in the finals are NEP and NPL teams. Seriously those are the best? Now most ECNL and all DA teams don’t compete. Too many leagues and divisions and too many teams think they are “too good” for certain competitions and tourneys.

Not entirely true... DA is not allowed to compete and ECNL schedule makes it difficult. One of the Stars ECNL teams entered and the opposing team would not reschedule a game that was to be played when the team had ECNL games scheduled in Maryland. Stars team had to forfeit... Why would that team enter again next year? Teams don't think they are "too good", but when the opposing teams would rather force a forfeit then reschedule, what's the point of making the effort to enter?

Why should the State Cup game be rescheduled and not the ECNL games? Stars is used to having people bend over backward for them since they run where they play. They are shocked, shocked I tell ya', one someone else tells them to stick to the script.

Tough to reschedule a trip to Maryland... And I didn't hear Start parents complaining about it... the previous poster claimed that the ECNL/DA teams think they are "too good"... that's not the case. It's difficult logistically. NEP NPL teams play one game per weekend most of the time. ECNL teams play saturday and sunday and have to travel further. That's why not many participate.
