    Nefc nh

Is this club any good especially on the girl's side? Looking for a club for my '03 daughter.

    go to tryouts

The club in NH is young, so you are not going to receive many responses.
Unless the poster has a hidden agenda.

Go to their tryouts in June and ask the coach questions.

Not sure about NEFC in New Hampshire but the parent club is incredibly successful. The problem in NH may be numbers. Will they have enough talent at that age to have a team? Or will they have the 03s play up with the 02s or add 04s in order to make an 03 team. That's when it becomes a crap shoot and you get a mish mosh of players. Seacoast and GPS NH have established teams with good numbers if you are looking for a premier club. If one of those don't work than find a team with a good coach, some talented girls and convenient location for your family. I am sure someone will disagree but that's my thought.

Good advice - answer to this question is dependent on age of your player, what their goals are as a player (which informs the list of qualities you're looking for in a coach to develop them) and who else is on the roster.

Per NEP website - their current U12 team (03s and 04s) play in the lowest division of NEP (as one would expect in their first year in existence) and appear to be dominating according to the standings/results: http://events.gotsport.com/events/re...r=Girls&Age=12 . If the listed coach is indeed the coach, he is excellent.

The next girls team is the current U14 side (01s and 02s) which I believe has more 01s than 02s.

Disclosure - not an NEFC NH parent, just sharing what I've been told/think I know about the program, coaches, teams, etc. Invite others to add and/or correct any errors.

The lowest division in NEP is garbage. Might as well play town ball.

            NEFC NH Boys

How are things on the boys side for the different age groups?

I would go to tryouts and check them out. Ask questions I know they have a new director.
See if its a good fit. Talk to parents that are with the club if you are able to.

Beware of a club offering young players spots on teams that are 1-2 years above their birth year. As its more out of the clubs need to form a team versus your kids development.

Well established clubs don't need to do that, clubs with lower numbers or new kids on the block status do.

One year up I could possibly see... 2 years up, forget it. RUN!

Although its probably too late for the fall, is this club worth checking out? Did anyone attend tryouts? If so, how were the numbers?

NEFC NH - Will they survive?

Are they going to be around next year? Do they have enough players to make teams? Are they good enough players? Does anyone know? Does anyone care?

Judging by the 2 week lack of response, I'd say no. Oh well, back to the MA thread.

They'll cobble some teams together. I heard they have 2 on the girls side, one of which is putting 07 aged girls on an 05 team. All of their girls "Elite" teams play in low level NEP, now the NEC in the bottom brackets.

They have one good boys team that has been doing well. But it will be interesting to see if any boys get called for opportunities at NEFC MA, if they will go or the coach would allow as thats been a group that has changed clubs en mass.

My advice would be is to ask the coach direct. Further this club has much tallant at the 03 Birth year so IF your D is a decent player get the coach perhaps ask the MA coach if you could practice or play a few games/practice sessions with their MA NPL team? that would be great experiance IMO for your D
