I have been to a few US Club and US Youth tournaments and all experiences sucked.
Parents need to find a tournament were your kids team actually earned there spot.
Traveling and getting your ass kicked is not cheep or fun.

The intention is not to win, it's to be able to post on your website that the team qualified for the National Cup.
NEP now sends teams form state cups directly to national finals.
Last year it was only 1 team per age group New England regional winner now all 4 state cup winner qualify.
Also there are no residency rules for state cup total joke.
Us Youth Soccer has rules and that's the way to go.
How was this year's USYS State Cup?

I very highly doubt that you are telling the truth. There are VERY few teams that have qualified for Regionals and/or Nationals in both US Club and USYSA. Maybe only 1 or 2 in the last 5 years...I can tell by your tone, your kid was not on either of them.

NEFC BU13 and Stars GU17 win. The rest go to Seacoast and GPS. Who wins more between them is the question. Not counting the U18 brackets, that leaves 8 minus BU13 and GU17. I am betting they split the 8.

Don't have the 2015 results handy but if memory serves it was predominantly GPS on the boys side and Seacoast on the girls. Will be interesting to see how things shake out this weekend, and how the results impact tryouts/commitments for next year the following week.

So far GPS has won GU13 and BU14 and Seacoast has won BU13 and GU14.

GPS won both girls and boys at U15 and they split U16 with Seacoast with GPS winning the boys and Seacoast winning girls.

As for the girls, I thought the Stars won one of the older age groups last year, so they should have a good shot at winning that age group again. And I think GPS would be favorites in U13 and U15 with Seacoast the favorites in the other age groups.

The winner advancing straight to the national championships makes zero sense. No disrespect to any of those teams, but I don't think any of them would win a regional championship against teams from Mass and Connecticut. Seems like a money grab to me.
Only incorrect predictions were Seacoast winning BU13 and GU17. Not too shabby.

looks like it was 6 state cups for GPS and 4 for Seacoast. Surprised NEFC or Stars couldn't pull at least one off. The big dogs rule the day. Well done!

6 for GPS NH and 5 for Seacoast. Not surprising given that Seacoast can't enter their academy teams.

Looks like SeaCoast BU13 Pre-Academy made a mockery of the other opposition. I thought NEFC were favorites in that age group? Scoreline looks opposite?
