    NEP/US Club State Cup

The schedule shows that there are some pool games starting at the end of April. Any predictions? Last year Seacoast swept the girls and GPS swept the boys. Any changes to that outcome?

Interesting that there is no Regionals but straight to Nationals. Wonder what the reasoning was behind this move. Money grab? To increase interest level? To put a nail in the coffin of USYS State Cup & President Cup tournaments?

    Here is the schedule....

I would think GPS will win most, if not all of the boys titles, with maybe NEFC NH winning U13.

As for the girls, I thought the Stars won one of the older age groups last year, so they should have a good shot at winning that age group again. And I think GPS would be favorites in U13 and U15 with Seacoast the favorites in the other age groups.

The winner advancing straight to the national championships makes zero sense. No disrespect to any of those teams, but I don't think any of them would win a regional championship against teams from Mass and Connecticut. Seems like a money grab to me.

The U15 boys from GPS (last years u14) won regionals and were a goal away from advance to the semi's and they have won regionals with USYSA, so they can compete.

I'm curious to see how much - if any - having the finals played at the GPS NH complex vs. Seacoast will impact the results. While field conditions are just one minor variable, I do think the condition of the turf at each facility (GPS being newer, "lusher"/thicker) vs. the older, weather-aged Seacoast turf which plays much quicker, higher bounces, etc. can impact the style of play, speed of the game, weighting of passes, etc. employed by all of the teams.

        Will be interesting for sure

Doubt it will matter, teams play all over New England every weekend...

That is mostly the way I see it too. Seacoast winning GU14, GU16 and GU18. GPS NH winning GU15 and possibly GU13. Stars NH should win GU17. The GPS boys should sweep unless Seacoast adds Academy players to the rosters. Not sure of the rules or their willingness to do this.

Going direct to Nationals is strange but the teams and kids who win NH should be proud and if going to Nationals is what they decide then good luck. I'm sure it will be an amazing experience to represent and play for their state with life long memories for them.

Per the link provided above, all Finals for boys and girls at all ages are at "NHPSA Complex"...isn't that the GPS fields in Bedford? I think all of the finals last year were held in Epping.

Wrong States Cup. No crappy Pembroke fields anymore.

They aren't great but By winning NH State Cup they can advance directly to nationals

Is the turf at Seacoast really turf? It seems like thin carpet. Personally, I like natural grass the best but that's old school, I suppose.

Are you making this statement is regards to the GPS B15 NPL team? If so, do a little homework.
