    Hudson United Soccer Club

Moving to the area. Both of my kids currently play town travel where we currently live. Will be U11 girl and U12 boy for the fall season. U11 girl has only started playing this spring so is new to the sport but my U12 boy is a pretty strong player on his current D1 team.

Any insight to Hudson United would be very welcome. The website is terrible, hoping it's not indicative of the club.. I also understand Bolts, World Cup of Nashua and GPS NH are options but really looking for both kids to play with town kids to help them get acclimated to our new town and hopefully build some friendships.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I know nothing about Hudson town travel soccer.

If your goal is to help your kids socialize with kids in their new town, the Hudson rec league may do that - but if your kids have aspirations to play for middle/high school, they won't likely meet any of their potential/future teammates playing rec or the Hudson town travel team.

If your kids are looking for better development and/or competition, they're likely better off with one of the other clubs you mentioned in your post. Caveat emptor: read a few of the threads here to form your own opinion based on others' experiences with some of the clubs you've mentioned before signing anywhere.

Fact to consider when selecting for your son: GPS NH is particularly strong on the boys side, having won every US Club State Cup for the state for ages U13 through U18 this Spring.

HUSC is a decent town club. All volunteered run, could explain the weak web site. Almost all kids who play HUSC end up on mid and high school teams, that's been the reason for the high school success over the past few years. There are a few who have ventured off to WC, Classics (GPS), and Bolts.

So for interaction with the local kids HUSC is a good option. If you kid is truly a high level player, you have three options. Bolts who run out of Hudson, GPS a little North out of Bedford, and Seacoast. WC has some issues and not sure the best place to play.

All three other clubs play in NEP. You will have some travel involved but competition is way ahead of NHSL where HUSC plays.

GPS and Seacoast have deep teams and A,B, And sometimes C teams. You may have to play a few seasons to make it to the top level, unless you kid is better than all the rest. Bolts are not so deep so playing time will be at its premium. All three clubs have good coaching.

So if getting to know the locals are important stick with HUSC. If you want more Bolts are a good choice but smaller than the GPS or Seacoast clubs which are good choices as well.

Go to Presentation of Mary field at 7:30 tonight and ask the Bolts staff questions.
