    NH ODP a Scam?

Is it me or are the "tryouts" for ODP a joke?

I have a daughter in the futures training for the U12 age group. There's a different coach every week and none of them know the girls names. How are they supposed to objectively pick the right players for the state team or are the teams already picked ahead of time?

You must be new to the game in NH. ODP is a scam here in NH, it is for the first 16 players with a checkbook!

NH ODP is a pretty weak. The only benefit to the program is if your daughter is a very good player (and I mean really good) then she may have a shot at the Regional pool when she gets to camp over the summer. If she's a middle of the road player (good but not a stand out) then you're better off putting your money elsewhere. The program has reached the point where they're begging for players to play at the older age groups which produces weak watered down teams that have no chance at competing well at the tournament. It's sad really as it's gotten progressively worse since my daughter participated in the program. NH needs to take a serious look at the program and make some radical changes for sure.

I have talked to a few parents from MA, NJ and CT and it seems to be the same story as in NH. Politcal, not the best players, etc.

What ever you think of NH ODP aside, the way they pick U12 is different than older groups.
Not that multiple coaches etc each week is tolerable but I believe they will pick just about all the U12 girls.

For the cost (About $1000 per NHSA website) there seems to be ALOT of different things you could do for your daughter at the age of U12, have her play club ball and get a "Legit" TECHNICAL Trainer and the bang for your buck will go WAY FARTHER as her confidence on the ball will explode and enjoyment in the game will grow exponentially.

When a program or group has to SOLICIT and recruit is it really worth it?
