    Club v. High School Soccer

Do NH high schools prohibit soccer team members from playing club soccer during the h.s. season (as CT does)?

Can a player play both club soccer and h.s. soccer at the same time? (Not asking about the wisdom of this.)

They can play but HS takes priority. But, most varsity coaches won't allow it.

      Hs and club

Club soccer does not play in the fall because most high school kids play for there high school team. Most kids start back with club training before the winter. This is really a non issue unless of course you play academy and don't play HS.

Except if you are U14 and a freshman which is what they are probably referring too and HS takes priority.

USYS is running a Fall League this fall, similar to the R1 Northeast League that runs in the Spring. Will be open to teams U15 and above. It will be interesting to see if any of the clubs enter a team. In theory games could be scheduled for Sundays and not conflict with HS.

What? There are several of U14 freshman. It's anyone with August and September so at least 1/6 of the population...not to mention that those who test in.

U14 will not play in the fall

There will be no clubs playing in the fall. If there is a team it will not be a good one! But yes there can be u14 freshman but not many.

Your child can play both club and high school. The state has a rule that your child cannot miss high school games or practices to play outside of the high school. The high school coach cannot forbid your child to be on a club team. What he/she should do is let you know the rule and follow the guidelines set forth by the state I believe the rules can be found on the NHIAA website if not, the athletic director should be a good resource. Hope this helps.
