No matter the scenario, a dropped player won't be happy. Seacoast GA has drops players all the time so nothing unusual there. Traditionally Seacoast, when it was "Seacoast", would see players from any of their affiliates attend.

I'm not understanding what the issue is.
No “issue”. Simply a suggestion for creating a stronger girls program at both locations. I get it - that’s not what it’s about for most clubs or even parents, especially those who are a little relieved there isn’t more competition for their spots. Seacoast “dropping players all the time” is debatable.

At least one age group, Aztec has a stronger team than the GA team. Instead of expecting individual players to leave a stronger team with a great coach in favor of a weaker one in the name of “exposure”, it’s a decent suggestion for 3 Step to pool their players and select the best for what is presumably their best league option. Take it, leave it, whatever. But there is no denying if her players were pooled, evaluated, and the best placed on GA, the Seacoast GA team would immediately improve.

This is just the scenario you have in your head for your kids team that someone will find your kid or them. That’s not the reality of youth soccer…you have to be willing to move. And you can’t build a GA team in a few nights of tryouts and bam…it’s unrealistic. Yeah maybe one kids gets identified but no club works like that for their teams it always has more nuance especially if players are known.

        Still, not understanding the issue.

Want to play on a great team where nobody knows about it, you can have that choice.

Want to play on a team that, in your opinion, is not that good, you can have that choice.

There is no debate about Seacoast dropping players: I saw it every year. Every single year. There is absolutely no incentive to keep a player who is "better" off a roster. There is no conspiracy theory.

Sounds like you want something brought TO you instead of going to get it. I'd say stick with Aztec.

Aztec north parents thinking they win they get noticed…but the older kids get that’s not how US soccer works and the Aztec teams out of north shore are primary in that club.

Reading these messages you are being harsh in your responses. One company owns both clubs. It sounds like wishful thinking from the Aztec north parent that things could improve for them without having to switch clubs and locations but that’s ok. It’s hard to believe if you read this message board but not every parent hates their kids soccer club and they want what is best for both their kid and the club. If you are jaded it might seem naive but in reality it is sort of noble.

I guess? But, if they love the club so much they can stay, not really seeing the issue with that.

Where I get confused is they seem to love the club, want a platform more than the club can offer, so their solution is to have another club change what they do to accommodate them.

Can't really have it both ways: Stay with your club that you love and keep plugging along. Or, try out at another club where, presumably, it will be easy to move to and move forward from there.

Bingo. If you like it stay but a club isn’t going to change for you.

I feel like the poster recognizes that their Aztec team is superior to the Seacoast team but the Seacoast team offers better opportunities. I understand where you’re coming from but I also don’t think it’s that crazy for people to start to wonder why the 3Step company isn’t leveraging the volume they now have to improve girls soccer across the board. If they’re 1 company, it does make sense to consolidate the talent into the best league they have access to. I’m not sure what the benefit of arguing against that is (or to whom).

Bottom line, you’re not wrong when looking at it strictly from an individual player perspective. But neither is the OP wrong in questioning why 3Step doesn’t use what they now own to raise the level overall. I guess I don’t see the problem with that question. A rising tide and all…

Definitely. Let’s not do anything to improve NH soccer. Stick with the status quo! Yes!

Come on up and bring the talent. Nothing stopping anyone. Love to see it. Rising tides raise all boats, more talent helps everyone so, and I do mean this, come on up

So it’s about being on a (no idea if true or how determined) better team to satisfy short term goals vs worse team to satisfy long term goals. Can’t do it the other way.

I STILL do not understand why 3step has to do anything. They purchased Seacoast in part due their entry in high visibility environments, facilities, size, etc etc and welcome everyone to try to join. Sounds like there’s a real vein of talent on the North Shore that fit in nicely. Im sure 3step has ensured all those players are well aware any activity at Seacoast and would encourage those players to compete-as they would do for every other player in their footprint

Seacoast and the two Aztec locations all have the same owner. There is a very possible scenario where Aztec north shore losses entire teams(MK) to south shore select and Aztec Tyngsboro losses their very best players to stars in Lancaster. Many will also head up here to Manchester for the new Sky Blue regional teams which will improve over time. Being smug to parents who are trying to find reasons to stay is the exact opposite approach that I would take but good luck with that.

Congratulations! You get to keep seacoast all to yourself.

So you DO want it brought to you after all. I thought so

Why are you so afraid to try out? It’s Seacoast for God’s sake. Shouldn’t be that hard to make it

3step wants to make money. More teams at more clubs is.better. Consolidation would lead to losing players it’s about. It never has been nor do they promise to building nh soccer up.

No club promises that. But your point is correct-consolidation means loss of revenue. Other than an Aztec parent unwilling to try out because they don’t want their kid to miss their friends, or because they won’t make it, there is zero reason to do what they are nagging on about.
