    SUSC Epping Premier/Elite U10/U11

Recently joined Epping U10 Premier pool as we were told Elite can only be joined during the once a year open tryouts. The premier team is very underwhelming and I was curious if it is even worth having my child go out for Elite which I am pretty sure he would make as a U11 next year.

Anyone with information on this would love to hear your thoughts.

If you just joined, I would just wait till tryouts. Premier is no better than town rec, elite will be better than that. Elite teams typically play in the NECSL. As he gets older and if he is good enough there are levels above that. But they don't start till u12-u13.

Only being able to join elite during tryouts is a line. If he’s as good as you think, they’ll pull him up this spring. They aren’t going to risk losing him. If they don’t, then your assessment might be off (different from theirs). That’s ok, just go to tryouts and see what happens. Do you have another club in mind? If so go practice with them a couple times too in case they don’t move him to elite.

This is a fair thought, premier organization is just horrible and the level of skill is all over the place. We plan to feel it out through spring and then see where we want to be.

no other clubs in mind as of yet but will be looking.
