I wish that for you, but it's too late. They'll inform parents soon if they haven't started already.

Here it is. No DPL. This new league that is governed by NECSL. Notice how a lot of the clubs are keeping GA2 tags too.

This is sent out to GA members today:
Development League Alliance: The Girls Academy has initiated a strategic alliance with the Development Player League (DPL) to best serve the member clubs across both national platforms. Both the GA and the DPL agree to maintain sole rights to and independent authority over branding, financial, membership, and event invitations. The DPL and the GA are utilizing this working relationship as an opportunity to explore future opportunities. Ultimately we believe it is in the best interests of the players and the league to unify our GA member clubs and continue to develop the best platform for our players to thrive.

That’s actually a decent enough league without any crazy travel. Not bad.

I’m confused. GA and DPL formed an alliance but Seacoast, a GA club who’s had a DPL team for several years, is no longer in DPL but entered a team in a USYS league? Are parents questioning this?

No national showcases and playoffs like DPL? Why did Seacoast take a major step backwards?

Parents will be given a general explanation that it's somehow better, and some parents won't even know they've regressed until it's too late.

I don't see any real difference between NAL and DPL. Together, they could have been a good regional league. Separately, they are just two so-so leagues with much too wide a range of competitive level.

Ok, but still way better than ECNL3. Better teams, MUCH less travel.

So instead of dpl which provides a great national event it’s okay 4-5 other teams and no established national event. Seacoast go back to dpl like seacoast Maine

If it is a one year only, fine. If it means DPL avenue is permanently closed though that isn't good.

                              In the MA thread,,,

The DPL offered a place for EVERY GA Rising club to come into the league. Even keep the fee structure in place from GA Rising, and their exact clubs in the exact conference structure. This is fact and in writing. They even gave a pass on mandatory event for a year. Your club knows the deal, they chose something else... no problem... but don't lie.

Yup! And lots of clubs passed on the offer, which is crazy. Now they're trapped in a non-league league with no pathway.
