    ECNL RL comes to NH

With Stars bringing their 2007 and 2009 new RL teams to NH, you have to wonder what this means for the SUSC DPL teams and the Aztec North Impact teams. Is ECRL a superior product to DPL and NPL? If so now is the chance to make the change. Will be interesting to see who remains at those clubs.

It's only for 07&09 birth year. ECNL RL is equivalent at best to DPL. I don't think it moves the needle much for soccer in NH. Certainly won't pose a threat to Seacoast.

And this is another ECRL league that team wise is a collection of teams with ECRL or new to ECRL so it won’t be the same level of play. Surprised it’s just 2007 and 2009 would think stars would just make their impact teams these ECRL. What’s the story around the two age groups only?

ECNL-RL 2. The new expansion league is below ECNL-R . This is below DPL or Impact.
I know Stars NH has a sizable 07 group so maybe just trying to market this to the nth degree to hoodwink families to forking over more cash next year.

It isn’t ECNL R 2. There’s gross misinformation about that. ECRL is a collection of regional leagues. Blue and White play in one regional league and this new offering will play another, but under the ECNL RL umbrella, this league is not lesser or lower. Now the Stars teams will be lower absolutely, but the league itself isn’t any different. R2 doesn’t exist.

Seacoast DPL teams are terrible. The 2009s are in 11th place while the 2007s are in 15th. It’s not that these new teams aren’t a threat to them, it’s that most of their players aren’t skilled enough to make the new teams.

ECRL, DPL, same same all a money grab. No college coach is going to be scouting the 5th tier team at FC Stars. ECNL blue, ECNL White, ECRL Blue and White all above "Sky Blue" which won't even play in the same conference as the Lancaster teams.
These money grab leagues and expansions are what's wrong with club soccer. All about the league admin, organization's salaries before any consideration goes to kids and families.

Wait, so clubs play in one league and that's OK. Clubs move to another league, and this is what's wrong with club soccer? You do realize parents can just say no and find another place to play, right?

I’m also wondering about the random 07 and 09 teams. I do not see any 08 team listed for Aztec north. Could that be a tell as to who they are targeting?

Bingo! Especially when both the Aztec North 2007 and 2009 teams are both stronger than the current FC Stars Impact teams. Hope Aztec has a plan.

Aztec north can’t field teams for every age group they don’t have 2006 and 2008 for years now. I am not sure stars is targeting Aztec, but I could also see Aztec moving those teams to stars if their coach moves his teams….it’s the same coach for those two ages at Aztec.

Is this the same coach who bounced around from World Cup to NEFC and now to Aztec? (Asking not trying to be a jerk here)

Yes and honestly if he went to stars I bet 99% of his team follows. They seem to love him and I bet that same 99%, especially in the older group, would be happier in ECRL than Impact. He bounced around and his core team has followed.

He certainly has his detractors in the industry. But my kid never played for him so I won't comment as it's heresay.
