At least Classics can't complain about Granite recruiting their players and Granite can't say how much better their coaching is. It will take time for both clubs to buy into "it's not about winning but development "

You obviously don't have a kid in the program. Common knowledge that LW has expressed that several times... consistent with the rest of his nonsense.

By the way things have been going for Granite on the girls side this was a good move. The younger girls team (which are actually being developed by some other clubs like seacoast and world cup) won't even be in the finals. It will be Seacoast or World Cup at 12,13,and 14....looks like LW will need to look to do some more recruiting and promising the world vs developing.

Classics were hurt by seacoast academy and they haven't been the best at developing the younger teams either.

        12s are weak
13s won't get to the finals
        14s I believe are solid
15s lost a bunch of good players
16s lost a couple but could lose to World Cup
17s lost key players and could be in trouble
        18s won't win.

Other than building a mega-club I don't know how they help each other. classics girls side is terrible and Granite boys side is terrible except U11s. I guess they are counting on numbers. How about all these clubs concentrate on developing?

There are some coaches that try that but get penalized for not winning even though in the long run the kids were learning the game.

It’s okay, he will fit right in. MPS has become disenchanted with Super Y also. If it wasn’t for MPS there would not be enough teams to form the Northeast Region

NO silly, it's based on the fact that both coaches listed have only coached second rate teams. Sorry I wasn't clear. Seacoast premier. whhc??

Given the personalities involved, this will be interesting.

You are assuming that there are going to be COE teams left. Other than the 3 older girls teams all teams will be NHPS Classics.

Why would that be...the U!$ and U13 COE teams have never lost to the Classics, so why throw away all that talent?

The idea is that Classics will be the lead program on all but 2 or 3 girls teams. All will have to tryout.

The partnership will create a new super club with over 40 teams competing as School of Excellence teams (U10-U12) and Premier Teams (U13-U19).
“We are delighted to associate the NHPSA brand with Granite FC and the NH Classics with the goal to provide a superior player development pathway for players in New Hampshire,” said NHPSA General Manager Mark McDevitt. “I look forward to working with both groups in the launch of the new organization.”
NHPSA has established a new club infrastructure, with a full-time office providing administrative support in operations, curriculum development, sports performance, sales & marketing, player identification, finance, graphic design, communications and media/public relations. Lenny Webb, formerly of Granite FC, will fulfill the role of NHPSA Premier Team Director while Deb McDonough, formerly of NH Classics, will fulfill the role of Premier Team Operations Director.
“We have competed against teams from NHPSA sister organizations in Massachusetts and Maine and have always been impressed by the quality of the teams and the professionalism of the coaching staff,” said NH Classics President Jay Joseph. “The backroom support provided by NHPSA will help the new club become the most professional organization in the state.”
NHPSA will also provide a full-time coaching staff to complement the existing Granite FC and NH Classics staff led by NHPSA Director of Soccer Paul Baber. The USSF ‘A’ License Coach will oversee player and coach education at the club.
“NHPSA will provide the optimal environment for players to develop as athletes and as people,” said Granite FC President John Edwards. “We look forward to welcoming many new players to tryouts this summer as we seek to field the most competitive teams in the region during the 2011 / 2012 season.”
“We look forward to the partnership and the opportunity to enhance the youth soccer experience for players and coaches in New Hampshire,” said NHPSA Director of Soccer Paul Baber. “We will look to attract players who seek to maximize their potential and compete at the highest levels of the game.”
NHPSA will hold tryouts for all age groups in June 2011 in preparation to take the field in 2011 / 2012. All tryout details will be announced during the spring season.

you are nuts...how about the Classics players she just cut from ODP? You are way off base on her. She is probably one of the most fair evaluators in NH soccer.
