If Biden gives out student loan forgiveness, I want mortgage forgiveness.

Better yet, I would love to be able to deduct my full mortgage, local and state taxes, but Trump and republicans chose to punish the blue states with their tax policies. Why did Trump take those away from me and instead lowered the corporate tax rate for corporations that used that money for stock buybacks? Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! And if I were a farmer I would have gotten $25 billion in farm handouts for sitting on my ass all year but Trump decided to reward his loyal farmers to address his his failed China tariffs.

But rather than crying about it, I voted for Biden. Thank god for Biden. Dow up about 25% since November 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The latter won’t stabilize the housing market, the former will.

Putting enough money on the hands of potential home buyers by making the money available for mortgages that they pay on student loans would blunt the deflation of the housing “bubble” as a result of COVD related economic effects.

In other words it isn’t about you. Or fairness really. It’s about the we fix the overall system. For 50 yrs we’ve tried the con “trickle down” approach. Hasn’t worked. Something more direct than tax cuts for the already well off is on the menu?

Trump punished his high cost home state of NY then moved to FL to save on taxes. Plus he barely pays any taxes but has paid over $200K in taxes to China (that and no one wanted him in NY any longer).

People who already own a home don't need nearly the help, and if they've lost their jobs the stimulus plan has various forms of assistance for those people. If you're saddled with student loans you may never be able to buy a home, let alone a condo or for some even a car. The former is a temporary fix to get people on their feet, the latter a longer term investment in economic stability and upward mobility.

That said it shouldn't be blanket forgiveness and not the amounts the Dems want. I'd be ok with up to $25K with some type of adjustment based on income plus a history of payments before it's forgiven.

For what crimes? Why didn't the prior administration or GOP leadership pursue charges against all those supposed criminals?

While hardly a bipartisan vote, this round there were Republicans voting to impeach Trump. Impeachment is always political with very few same party members voting against their party's president. But Trump got the most same party impeachment votes ever and will probably have more senators vote against him also. #1 woot woot!
