In an email to staff on Wednesday obtained by POLITICO, Keystone XL chief Richard Prior said the permit denial would force the company to cut more than 1,000 positions.

as another also pointed out the execs at Keystone won't be the ones out of work, at least not yet, and they'll have been paid handsomely all this time and can weather a stint of unemployment. Executive pay in this country has risen to obscene levels while the average worker's real pay has stagnated. The rich are now even more obscenely rich. Workers are angry and should be. They are having a harder time paying for healthcare (if they have it), school, even getting a new car or buying a home, things their parents could do not that long ago. The GOP doesn't care, never has. They fight new minimum wage increases, worker protections, unions and they sure as fuk have no healthcare plan to help Americans. Trump never cared either - he only cared about their votes.
