Why can't clubs prevent coaches from leaving with teams or even whole regions?

And SC taking NEFC South to Surf RI and PM/Some Dude I Can't remember taking Scorpions to NEFC, then NEFC to Stars. Just like when GPS took NEFC Metro and those coaches (preceding the move from GPS to Juventus). It goes on and on.

Most full-time coaches/directors in youth soccer are only looking out for themselves and their wallets and that every one of the moves described above, players and families were pawns used to enrich the coaches/directors/club owners. Personally, I think the entire business is slimy as hell.

Have you worked for the same company your whole career?

          False.
It’s on the directors. The owners don’t force them to join their clubs. The directors give in because at the end of the day, it’s more $$

But yet the final decision is the parent. Because clubs don’t own players. Just like any decision is in youth soccer.

Truth is... most directors, coaches, club owners, that are involved in youth soccer are scum, liars, backstabbers.

Would any of these coaches/directors get their new jobs if they didn’t poach players/teams/regions when they move?

It’s always some shady deal done on the sly to bring whole teams and regions. It’s sales 101: grab the rolodex before you give your notice so you can contact all your previous company’s customers and poach them.

If you're having club problems I feel bad for you son, NEFC's got 99 problems and the south shore's just one.

Nothing better than some gallows humor.
