    NEFC and SSS in turmoil

GA has been absolutely a disaster and they are adding anyone that wants to get in. I believ that finally we are see talent consolidation. With all respect, top players are or are leaving to ECNL. They won!

Specifically, how has GA been a disaster? Specifically, how are they adding anyone who wants to get in? Please provide the numbers for talent consolidation. This must be a lot of player knowledge across every age group and number crunching, not to mention predicting lesser players that will rise with age. Top players are leaving? How many, which age groups and clubs?
Lastly, how much do you get paid for being a Bot?

I am sure this will enrage the bots, but I think GA has been pretty good this year for a league in the first year. And before you come after me for being ignorant, we are experiencing this with our third kid. First two played high level and we have seen teams across both genders across multiple leagues.

GA teams (SSS and NEFC) have easily been competitive with ECNL teams in the region...and when you start talking about national showcase opportunities, that really only matters for a handful of kids at the very top of the roster, no matter which league your daughter plays in.

If people think that ECNL will consolidate everything by putting GA out of business, I think that is pretty short sighted. Because there are really only 50 spots per age group in MA, there will always be a market for teams/a league that will offer something nearly as competitive.

If you are new to this, you can find something good in ECNL, GA, and other leagues...don't let the propaganda from the bots keep you from looking at the whole picture.

ECNL fanboys just getting off on this. Don't feed them. Their daughters are all going to D1 and will likely be in 2028 Olympics. They've got the league, now sky's the limit

Why doesn’t that strong league make them much better than every other club? Is it all really about league and player development or getting college commitments?

13 top players from select’s GA teams left in the past month. Can u say the dominoes are falling over at select. 13 GA girls have left select!

It's about getting kids to colleges. ECNL has figured out that that is what the customers (parents, players, and college coaches) want. "Player development" only matters as a means to that specific end. This is not about "growing the game," building a "soccer culture in the US," or creating future National Team candidates. It is strictly about attracting families that want their daughters to gain a competitive advantage in the college admissions process through soccer.

It certainly was for our family and all of the ECNL families our kid played with. Yes, the kids love the game, work hard at it, and want to be the very best they can be. But the cost, the travel, the longer commutes, the social sacrifices, the nervous days around tryouts, the fight for maximum playing time, etc. was only tolerable because the goal of playing at the college of her choice was sitting at the end of the road. It worked out beautifully for our kid, so we're supportive of the ECNL platform.

SO many 06 and 07 GA girls trying out at Stars and Scorpions this month. Just wondering how many ECNL 06's and 07's were over at GA tryouts????

Once again why put NEFC with Select? Just because we play in the same league as them that's where the comparison ends! Did you not see that NEFC is building a state of the art training facility? This year NEFC lost a few players to Stars but by this time in 2 years kids will be flocking back to NEFC. Period! End of story. AND please stop the comparison to south shore select. There is none.

                        Scores from Saturday:

                        03: NEFC 3, SSS 0
                        04: NEFC 3, SSS 1
                        05: NEFC 3, SSS 5
                        06: NEFC 0, SSS 1

For the season, head-to-head (with current place in standings)

                        03 (NEFC 1st, SSS 3rd): 2-0-0 for NEFC
                        04 (SSS 1st, NEFC 4th): 1-1-0
                        05 (NEFC 1st, SSS 3rd): 1-1-0
                        06 (SSS 1st, NEFC 3rd): 2-0-0 for SSS

So, overall head-to-head: 4-4-0. Each is in first for two age groups.

Looks very comparable to me. Actually, seems exactly the same by comparing results on the pitch...where it matters.

My kid's team plays them both. Both are quality. They've played 'OK' v NEFC at times and grabbed some points, even a win, on occasion. SSS, notsomuch. That being said, I look at them both as equals, and both very good. I'm familiar in our age group with many players on an ECNL team, and no doubt they'd both compete well enough there. I have zero reservations making that comment
