My D played at BC, and I was happy because I'm an alum, I never did care about the ACC, just that she was happy with her choice beyond wins and losses. I wouldn't brag about the ACC, but why would people care if someone does?

But, this is an anonymous board so if someone wants to brag, they are welcome. They are also going to have to accept others my ask questions about it.

I would be proud of my child for earning the opportunity to play at any school she wanted to be at. But if people want to brag about anything publicly, then they should be prepared to hear opinions. At least one poster here has repeatedly said that the vast majority of parents would be thrilled to have their kid play at BC. That’s silly. I would not. My kid has zero interest in both the school and soccer program. It’s fine to be happy with your decision but when you start believing everyone wants the same, you cross the line into delusional.

Hopefully your strange post can pause this silly thread until there are some games to talk about.

Jeezus…. Why would anyone trash BC or any player that chooses to go there? Of course there are some for which it’s not the right fit, thats true of any college. To argue that playing at BC isn’t a respectable accomplishment is just ignorant

The question continually asked is what is appealing to play SOCCER for BC...and the only answer provided is because they are in the ACC. That's not trashing BC, it's asking a question that is evidently unanswerable.

What happens if FSU wins their lawsuit and gets out of their conference, and goes to the SEC? Real, real good chance of that happening, even if they have to pay big $$ to do so. And Clemson, Notre Dame, Pitt, Virginia, NC State, Miami all do the same? Football is where the money is so these big football schools want out. Would they be just as happy chasing a conference as their, apparently, only reason to do so?
So, it really is like playing for Stars White? You can just say "I play in XYZ league"?
Yikes.

So let's take soccer out of it for a minute. TS pontificators say Academics first, and pick a school where she will be happy without soccer.
10s of thousands of families apply to BC every year. Why?
Now add in that they play in a Power 5 conference I get the Stars White jab, but players choose to play for Scorpions, FSA, East Meadow because ECNL
Why not apply same logic to ACC?

Yay, they play in a (now)P4 conference. It's a draw, why is it the ONLY draw though?
The difference with Stars White is they don't really offer anything other than being in ECNL. They are the red-headed stepchild within their own club. There is another club minutes away who can offer as much, if not more, than what is in place today. None of the others you reference have that. White's ONLY draw is the league they are in.
There seems to be a lot of posts going around and we are down to:
Side A: Playing in the ACC is the only draw and that's enough
Side B: That's not enough, the program should be able to stand on it's own merits
Don't see anyone budging.

If Stars White was not in ECNL, would any of those players play there? Sincerely doubt it
If BC was not in the ACC, would any of those players play there? Apparently, no

BC opens its fall season with an exhibition against UML. Will be interesting to see who his key players will be.
