The new coaches will look to bring in players who will be happy within their system. Here is the second hint, players need to make an impression on the new staff or they will be invited to leave this Spring as well.
Thank you for that. I had no idea. Your wealth of knowledge knows no bounds I assume.

I heard they were unhappy, mostly because they seem to be molding into a track team and not a soccer team. TIFWIW....really could give a rat's arse.

I’ve heard the girls are very happy with the new coach. They are finally getting coached and being held accountable. Watkins came into an absolute mess and he told the girls he thought they would be better nd would know more. He is working hard to rebuild with what he has. No one has left and no one wants to leave. They are happy with the new coach. Some of the girls have no business being there, and Watkins will push them out but there’s a handful of great players. I think this is the beginning of new bc soccer.

Let me give you one more hint, when the BC AD and coach search committee where vetting applicants for the position they looked at the coach as wel as his style of play and his success with his system. There was no secrets about his style. BTW, the speed of play for the better college programs is what separates the top programs from everyone else. Speed of play is soccer and what makes a competitive winning program.

Speed of play and running fast are two different things.

Next fall there will be new recruits to look at. Were my D there she would already be at a new school trying out. This is not a painless process.
How is this going to go for the 2025 recruits that were recruited by the former coach?

Not sure. The starters have mostly proven they can’t play ACC caliber soccer and were part of a broken system. For several years the new coach will have to make do with another’s recruits. I’m sure he’ll be looking at them carefully in the early fall. I would have expected some transfers to be coming. Not a good sign.

You can assume he started having conversations with those commitments soon after taking the job. You would also assume they are busy looking at the transfer portal.

Here's another hint: Running for the sake of running has nothing to do with speed of play.

On the contrary, running and movement has everything to do with the speed of play in open spaces. Your definition of running for the “sake of running” is your definition.

LOL. Put the pom poms down, you're out of your league here.

LOLOL, so says the anonymous TS amateur expert. You have no idea what league I play in. Your “sake” of running comment speaks volumes about you.

LOL I am speaking about feedback from the players. You are making judgements about things you think are correct. You also have no idea about what league I played in, either ;-)

As been said earlier feedback from players about a new coach holds little relevance. This is not club soccer, college soccer is for adults and is a job when you play D1. Running on any level is a major part of being on a college roster.

                              LOL OK.

Again, just stated that players were unhappy because there is very little soccer being played. You are free to take that in any direction you wish.

Of course running is a major part of soccer. So is playing soccer.....
