    1. was she always that? and if so, why BC?
    2. If she has become that, then do BC staff deserve credit for making her better?
    1. Maybe she was lied to? Maybe she, being Irish, felt more comfortable there when she first came to the states. Maybe she wanted a certain major, and changed her mind. Maybe she hates the winters. Maybe she met a guy. Maybe there was a better program for her major. Maybe she just got sick of being on a shltty team?
    2. Can't say I knew of her before, but I watched one pre-season game and thought she was the best player on the pitch, as an outside back first year. She also has been capped by Ireland. I'm tempted to believe she wasn't made by BC.

BC got smoked all year long. Great, they play in a top conference. They can't compete and lose and when playing ranked teams, they got thrashed, but yay, they are in A top conference.

The question was posed and used only Texas as an example. I extrapolated the data, which was intentionally left incomplete, to show the full picture so readers could make up their own minds. Facts were asked for, so facts were given.
so you agree with me. Cool. Thanks. All I said was they are trading down in terms of quality of competition. They are.

They all have BC degrees and are probably getting another free or heavily discounted year of education at pretty good schools (Texas A&M the outlier). The defender is leaving for Texas, which is a good school and has a better soccer program. So hard to fault that. I assume the other Agresti sister is going somewhere and it hasn't been announced. She's good enough to go pretty much anywhere if she wants to.

Hopefully the BC coach recruited some defenders b/c 3 of those players were on the backline.
The transfer portal has been very beneficial to Freshman/Sophmores from notable programs especially in the P5. Coaches can bring in transfers with experience instead of going with incoming freshman. Same with 5th year Graduate players from accomplished programs also with experience who can immediately add depth to a team at a specific position. With the three 5th year defenders they have years of experience playing against formidable ACC teams and they are a “no brainer” to transfer for teams that are weak on defense.

think you are referring to a different player

If its a no brainer now, why was it not a no brainer when they were recruited?

My mistake, yes I was referring to the freshman.

Not sure I gave an opinion so not sure how you can say I agree with you. From what I can tell, no drop in quality of competition at least for the Tennessee girl. Add in the chance of a happy busride home one in a while....

I'd say one is better, one is on par, and two are playing overall less quality teams top to bottom.

But, since it's just my own opinion, it means nothing.

                    Just like your own opinion.

Funny take on TS. all you have are opinions, so why does anyone look let alone post if it means nothing?

Because that's just how it is. Some come across like they know it all, some accept the only know all they know. All information should be taken with that in mind.

After the transfers that leaves just one FCStar from RI on the team who barely plays.

They are choosing to play for teams that play in weaker leagues. what does highly competitive have to do with quality? you can have competitive games at any level of quality. lets look at Texas the school who went furthest in NCAAs last year

https://texassports.com/sports/women.../schedule/2022 - look at the schedule. Zero wins vs ranked teams(3). zero wins vs ranked ACC teams.(2)

https://texassports.com/news/2022/8/...olina-2-0.aspx - forget the score for a minute. Out shot 23-8

where are Texas finishing in the ACC? Duke out shot them 20-7. https://theacc.com/standings.aspx?path=wsoc. Somewhere between 6th and 10th?

facts suggest they are certainly going to play vs lesser competition. Will the games be competitive? Looking at the Texas non conf schedule from last year, Incarnate Word, Lipscomb, UTRGV, Texas Southern - 25-0. they were not last year.

Compared to https://bceagles.com/sports/womens-soccer/schedule/2022 - played 5 ranked teams including Duke,UNC,Pitt,FSU

I stand by my PoV. Feel free to prove me wrong with facts.

All this fuss... what is the end game for most of these players after college anyway????????? Will it really matter in the end? And what will these overbearing parents do, when they no longer have their childrens' sport games to obsess over. Sheeesh, arent they already adults in college? Yet here you are still hovering and obsessing over their extracurricular activities.
