That is not what article says. In the sports that matter and pay the bills, it hasn't.

Get rid of this coach. Pretty please. And BC football? lost to UConn. AD needs a heave ho too

Some schools just don't care that much about their sports programs. As long as "most" teams do "ok" ADs and coaches can have long careers.

Four conference wins in four seasons…absolutely shocked this coach hasn’t been fired yet!

unless players are complaining, why? What are the expectations for him? I'm probably in the minority, but the overall quality of player in the NE has gone down as real competition is eliminated. Parents rush to Super teams, concentrating ability in pockets and thinking travelling thousands of miles to conquer weak teams outside the region makes players better. Couple that with the "better" soccer options that top recruits have and the ACC means BC are going to struggle to be consistently relevant in Womens soccer with a recruiting strategy based on US/Local talent.

Don’t give the coach a pass that quickly. Ask about his recruiting, is he keeping local talent or are they walking? Is he even trying to keep local kids, Is he following up on his own list of potentials. It’s an uphill battle for sure but they should do better, they can do better.

How about this for a new BC AD: Doug Flutie

BC Womens Soccer Coach: Kristie Mewis

While it’s always nice to have locals if the talent is there, it ultimately doesn’t matter where they come from. On paper, the current roster isn’t terrible, but the culture and coaching are terrible. In a few seasons, JL has turned the culture into a losing, high turnover environment. He’s brought in over 30 recruits and a high % have left. The team obviously is poorly coached given the results. With the record and reputation JL has built at BC, it’s going to be hard to recruit, but honestly it doesn’t matter who he brings in if he can’t coach a winning program.

What I can’t figure out is why BC couldn’t find a more experienced head coach with a winning record when AF left? It is a strong academic ACC school after all. Why bring in someone who wasn’t a head coach at a winning program?

Because nobody wants to be in Boston ,weather and demographics make it almost impossible to recruit. We’re there better players that BC could’ve recruited, absolutely.BC will always struggle in the ACC plus lack of facilities other schools nearby that offer more are available.

BC coach should be fired or he should resign. BC should not be hard to recruit for despite what people are saying on this list. LOOK AT PITT!!!!! Geez Louise. Waldrum came in with WORSE prospects and a college that doesn't have the profile that BC has and look what he has done. It's the coach. It's the coach. It's the coach.

The lack of facilities is striking. There are schools in NEPSAC with significantly better facilities. Why would kids go to BC only to have facilities that are subpar to what they experienced in high school.

These kids are not choosing school based on facilities. They HAVE talent. Look - they had Sam Coffey. She left BC not to go to better facilities, but to a better coach. He IS TERRIBLE.

Coffey left AF for Erica Walsh. And her facilities.
