Last year people were watching anything sports related. They released the Espn 30 for 30 on chicago bulls and lance armstrong early. Baseball in Japan was being broadcast...to big viewership. FIFA released old WC games; girls and guys. People wanted anything to watch instead of news.
Sports are the great equalizer.

This is a BC W Soccer thread so let’s get to it. If I’m the AD you have to ask why the Eagles have such a weak non conference schedule. You would assume being in the Northeast they would have Georgetown, Rutgers, Brown and Penn State to go along with a great trip to play Santa Clara/Stanford/Cal. Then go play Northeastern, Harvard and BU in a Beanpot to save money. Instead of the pathetic schedule JL made to get fake wins

While you may not be flying to many of your suggested opponents, the cost of travel, gas has increased a lot this year.

Sorry, Girl Soccer dads
That is a ridiculous statement on its face...
The MLsNext League is for boys...
Why are OVER 70% of all HS Soccer Academy Schools for Boys?
Just compare the MLS attendance to whatever the Girls Pro League is now- NWCSl??
It will fold in a couple years like the previous womens attempt at pro soccer - you know why?
Besides parents of girls who play soccer, NOONE else cares to watch
Girls soccer is a slow game and has very minimal physicality. Thus, no revenue will come in from advertising- in fact, gate sales (the major revenue producers at USL Championship league FAR outpaces this NWCSL league.)
Your premise is truly a joke- Girls/Womans soccer has always been and will always be 2nd tier to mens/Boys soccer- here in the USA and Internationally.
It's okay, Girls soccer Parents- enjoy her cute little leageus like DA, HA, GA, BA, Za, QA and whatever other little leagues they can go to- EDP, ECNL and whatever Alphabet Soup League you can find to justify paying money for your daughtwr to plays Girls soccer.
Future aspirations to play Internationally?
An Actual, Viable option for US trained Football players heading to Europe and other Internatioal Foootball Leagues- and the percentage now of US MEN playing soccer abroad is up OVER 40%
And the SO CALLED TOP TIER Woman?? I have to STOP laughing here...
Lol lol. The SO CALLED TOP TIER Woman playing internationally had moved UP to 3-4% !!!
LOL LOL LOL. 3-4%!!!!
Yeah OKAY Girl soccer parents- Please keep it going in your sad, little echo Chamber.
I will take my Son playing in the MLsNext League this Fall and his chances ANY DAY of the week...
What a JOKE.... Girl's Soccer over Boy's Soccer...
It's Okay Girls Soccer Parents... It is REALLY okay- Just take a Deep Breath and let it go
Girls socer is beyond Low Tier- it is a Sad Little Joke and a Massive Waste of time that your Daughter and her parents should be investing in a real girls sport- maybe Gymnastics, Cheerleading, Swimming, Tennis, even Field Hockey
Just NOT Soccer, Please Dear God, it is So Bad, So Slow, So unimaginative, So Dull
So, So, So Dull....
Anyways, Have a Great Day....

Could not use "boom" re this. Need firepower. And as we agree.. None there.
Now re the budget issue, what if other games to be played were submitted and rejected. We don't know. I would hope coach is aiming high and settling lowe.
