The Girls Academy League is adding clubs

All they’ve done is reward the clubs who paid their dues by spending a year in ecrl league. Fcv and Tophat would have to come hat in hand and pay the same price now that the entry way has been established.

ECNL parents are pretty arrogant. Granted ECNL is top heavy but, according to the list floating around, the northeast is average at best.

If they are only promoting clubs that first enter the ECRL, that's a clever strategy of promoting that league. I am pretty sure that in the ECRL marketing presentation this was the intention but nobody believed it.

Great for DA then, another top club staying. All the banter here was how important it was for Tophat and FCV to move to ECNL... until they were denied (or chose not to leave)

Yes it is, but GAL NE is even weaker. There's NEFC and all the rest.

Just FYI-for the last few years, ECNL released several announcements of new clubs added, all spaced about a month apart. I don't think they're finished...

It’s going to be slow rolled again this year. More clubs coming.

Ahh. That would be interesting, it does appear this announcement is mostly west coast so perhaps there is more to it. According to recent posters here, Tophat and FCV are not wanted in ECNL (until they accept. Then woohoo). Can’t think of other clubs that would have the same impact if they left

Considering GAL just added 2 clubs in Georgia, both a 1/2 hour away from Top Hat (one North, one South) sort of signals that GAL is expecting Top Hat to jump ship.

The northeast division of GA is basically made up of rich clubs that could pay the fee for the "privilege" to play in GAL and when you look at these clubs as a whole, it's basically just 1 step up from NPL. For a good club like NEFC it becomes super rough to try and improve when you only play against clubs like Cedar Stars, Select, Oakwood and Seacoast every week. I'm not talking about those 4 clubs in general but the competitiveness of those clubs each year. All 4 of those clubs will have 1 really good age division but the majority of age divisions are very, very meh.
