    I was not.

You take all the risk you want, cowboy, but you better have a mask on.
You won’t get the medical treatment the lying scumbags all got.
Of course not. But those bragging comments about how great it was that he got sick and had those special powerful super drugs that he got that hardly anyone else can get was one of the grossest displays of heartless drivel we have witnessed and there have been plenty. Something is wrong with that man.

What you saw as bragging, others saw as praising the work of the medical community to figure out a cure. His delivery, as always, left something to be desired, but you are putting your emotions into your interpretation.

The praise was just a little too selective to take seriously. He doesn’t praise the medical and scientific communities when they figure out anything he doesn’t want to hear.

It was really gross. He choose the delivery he choose. There is no cure for anyone but rich powerful people like him and he made sure we all knew it. Just gross.

Not our callous slug of a president with his fancy helicopter rides too the fancy hospital for the fancy treatments that we all have pay for and listen to him brag about, but none of us could ever get. That is for sure.

TDS clearly afflicts this one. This thread has mostly been about why each family decides for themselves, for loved ones, or for the greater society to go or not go. Now its gone Orange Man Bad. Bye Bye logic and meaningful discourse.

There has been no logic or meaningful discourse for 4 years.
                  Just boasts and lies.

Fair enough. Placing blame for why we are in our current ****show is for a different thread.

But ****show it is and unfortunately that means that for the time being, it is asked of all residents of massachusetts, to cancel or postpone travel plans at this time.

attempt to get this back to soccer

I live in Florida. Have two kids playing soccer. They had closed down soccer from March to Memorial day when they didn't know much about soccer. I lived in Massachusetts for about 35 years. When I lived in Mass we had a similar opinion about Florida that I see many on this board have. After living here it's pretty crazy of how wrong Mass people have of this area. I find now that Mass people have this elitist mentality that their area is the best in the country and they are above everyone else. I noticed this when I first moved to New Hampshire (there is a reason why they refer to you as M*******s).
In regards to soccer. both kids play ECNL and have played High School soccer. At all games spectators are expected to wear masks as well as coaches. We are not allowed to have any team events such as team dinners etc. kids are supposed to have temp checked b4 practice. some coaches make the kids wear masks to practice have their temp checked and they can remove their masks when practices start. Kids wear masks all day at school. If a kid gets covid they are forced to quarantine from all school activities. If someone at school or a team has been in contact with someone who has tested positive the whole team has to quarantine or people in classes or school buses that have had contact of 15 mins within 10 feet.
Publix requires masks, as well as just about every business such as tj maxx or target. there are some businesses that have made it clear they don't require masks, but some counties have policies that supersede that. It is rare that you will see someone indoors other than restaurants that is not wearing a mask.
Florida has lots of outdoor dining and the tables are socially distanced. but if you don't feel comfortable then don't go.
The virus does not do well in UV sunlight. If you are outdoors the virus is killed in 90 secs in sunlight. your chance of getting it during a match is minimal and as far as I know there hasn't been a single case attributed to the spread by playing soccer. The biggest issue with kids is when they get out of school and after soccer practice they go over their friends houses in groups of 10 and hang out and watch movies. teenage boys and girls do the same things we were doing at 16-18 years old.
I understand if you have reservations about traveling, staying at hotels, etc but others have higher tolerances for risk. The biggest difference is in Florida they have kept most things open and life is pretty close to normal with some adjustments. But we don't feel that we have lost individual freedoms. In Mass you think you know better than everyone else and want to force your ideals and make everyone else conform to you. So you know what don't come, the showcase will go on without you. Everyone I have heard from regarding Greer SC had positive things to say. I look forward to enjoying watching the kids be kids.

Their players do not wear masks anyway so that is not a surprise.

FL is great; we hear you. It's a huge advantage to be able to be outside all year around. Why does the government in FL insist on lying about the effects of the virus and misstating the numbers of infections, hospitalizations and deaths? Do you feel that it helps manage the virus to lie about it?

Thank you for this post. 100% there were D-BAG posts implying FL was a coven of mask-less MAGA wearing super spreaders. I appreciate you sprinkling reality into this conversation. Life in FL, especially in communities where kids play ECNL - is very much like any suburb here in MA. What you appear to already understand is that there are many deranged and illogical people like the posters you have seen on this thread whose identity and values are tied to politicians and parties. They aren't dumb, in fact, most have many degrees, but like many with Ph. D they are short on common sense and their current affliction turns every conversation to Orange Man Bad.

There is no order to not travel (yet). The guidelines simply state that if you travel you must quarantine until tests prove you safe. We follow the guidance.
