By a certain age there isn't much movement. Top talent is pretty well known already. There's not many hiding in the woods undiscovered. Kids also are less inclined to move and leave friends, especially girls. Rosters definitely full.Originally posted by Guest View PostComment

There is movement when some kids put in the work and others don’t. Kids get dropped if they aren’t keeping up. Just because your daughter is on a top team now doesn’t mean that will be the case next year. Don’t get too comfortable. There are always kids working harder.Comment

I listened all off season to a scorpion 08 yahoo parent telling me to watch out for the Scorpions team because they are gunning for blue. Not sure what to make of a 0-0 tie against the lady slippers??? Is that their name???? yesterday. Somehow a 0-0 tie against a town team shouldn't put much fear into blue. Blue is on par with the SUSA's and World Classes of the world and certainly NOT the lady slippers. Well done as usual Scorpions! Way to make ECNL look terrible.

In fact, FC Somers Lady Hammers is a solid NY team. Even with Scorpions ECNL is about right. FC Somers had a good run in the USYS Championship last year, making it to the quarterfinals. Three players on the Best 11 roster for the championship. FC Somers will be in NAL Northeast for the Spring season.Comment

it’s a preseason warmup and showcase. Everyone plays at least 50% at showcases so even the best teams are out there with their bench players. A so called “town team” at this age is most probably a team that’s been playing together for 5+ years and they are in the gold division for a reason. Scorpions parents are crazy that’s for sure but nothing wrong with a little optimism if your kid switched teams and at this category you skipped over CFC which are the current northeast champions for ecnlOriginally posted by Guest View PostComment
