Let's review what we learned this weekend

-Surf's 08s are as good as any MA ECNL club (top 2 teams). Its odd that this isn't true for any other birth year, but the 08s are for real
-Stars Blue have fallen off a cliff. They look nothing like the team from last year. Last weekend--some new players ,new coach. This weekend ? This team has problems.
-SSS GA still as good as anyone in MA
-Scorps are a completely different team than last year. Worst in the division beats last year's winner (SUSA)? Wow

Let the regular season games begin!

Throw in good moments by Aztecs and bayside. What we really learned? Talent in 08 has yet to consolidate to the ecnl teams.

Stars Blue is moving girls around and trying new positions. Also equal playing time for all with wholesale substitutions. Fully anticipate that they will have a successful fall. Certainly wish they were more focused on winning their own tournament but it is preseason. Played very well against PDA on Sunday. They are a better team than last year and it will become evident when they start playing league games.

Was it pre season for everyone or just stars? Did every other team just play 11 players ? Did any other player maybe try a different position or just stars?

If you sit several kids for the whole game on the bench in order to secure a result with your starters, you think it's postseason not "preseason". Still, the weekend had really solid 08 competition that confirmed how well the talent is spread around-- still don't know why NEFC GA dodged it (and don't say "They lost players:" they could have come and taken their lumps like Stars Blue did).

Did they lose players? Hadn't heard that? Just figured they did well in California and didn't want their parents realizing that the team isn't as good as they think it is when they lose to a bunch of teams at a local tourney.

We didnt lose. We sat our starters.Its only pre season. NO. It is a tournament that you hosted and didnt win a game ! Quit making excuses that don"t hold water since second grade.

FSA is generally terrible. Any team should be outscoring their teams by bigger margins.
