After all this ECNL bull about being superior if you look subjectively at the preseason list for GU-14's it's almost automatic that it goes:

1. NEFC
2. South Shore Select
3. Aztecs
4. New England Surf
5. FC Stars Blue
6. Scorpions
7. FC Stars White

NEFC and Select would beat any Massachusetts team every single time. Just look at last week's GA tournament where both teams dominated in their divisions. Can't wait to the beginning of the season and watch NEFC and Select battle for superiority in the GA which is quickly becoming the preeminent girls league in the country.

ok NOT for nothing!! but Stars Blue beats NEFC and Select every time they play. A few months ago Blue destroyed Select and shut them out. Select somehow LOST to Stars White last month-got shutout actually again by a Stars team -so I'm curious GA parent how you can say in above post with a straight face?? I'm not 1 to comment too much on ts but man this list is crazily stupid! If you believe it-WOW! and if you did it to get a rise out of 08 parents it succeeded for me.

Dominated? Select went 1-2 only winning against Jersey team and losing by 2 and 3 in the other 2 games. NEFC by far had the easiest bracket with a 3rd and 4th place div team and a 2nd that was just slightly a head of the rest but was crushed by the 1st place team.

No one is asking about individual players. It would be notable if a team turns over 5 spots rather than 1 or 2. For instance, Select turned over two but Scorpions turned over 6.

I've always wondered why dbags feel the need to degrade girls soccer but you just nailed it.

No there's rarely a mass exodus from teams unless something really bad is going on. HOWEVER, teams will lose their top 1-4 players and that entirely changes a team's dynamics. At this age a team just isn't able to fill all those spots with equal replacements, maybe 1-2 starters that's it. It also triggers fear/re-consideration among other families wondering if maybe they should jump ship too. Don't downplay it just because it's not half the roster.

Stating that there is always or rarely an exodus as a way to predict future actions is unproductive. There is no history to draw any conclusions from. Prior to this year, DA was relatively comparable to ECNL. There was less of a reason to jump ship from DA. We are in our first post-covid off-season since the DA disbanded, and we only have the one data point of transfers out of GA. You can make assumptions about whether its a trend or a blip, and there may be truth to either stance. However using history to back your claims is bad logic since the landscape has changed. The historical transfers or lack thereof are for a completely different set of circumstances. Its all speculation.

They may be lower tier, but that does not explain why anyone would attack girls (or any other group). Your logic would equate high level athletes with high level morals while suggesting anyone that is not a high level athlete would have low morals and disparage others. Im not a high level soccer player, but I don't attack girls. I also don't attack US boys who want to play soccer.

How about we keep it simpler and just say that they are insecure, or just a jerk.
