Oh they can still run teams, they just won't be the same teams. As teams weaken, a few more players leave.

If you're training outside in rain or snow in Feb in New England, you're doing it wrong. Nothing wrong with training outside when the temperature/conditions warrant it. We've been training outside periodically this winter, i.e. if the temp is in the 40's and the turf is clear of snow/ice. Please stop with the cheerleading... once it started snowing and accumulating on the ground, the coach should have called off the practice session (really, you should have been indoors or cancelled given the forecast). Why? Risk of injury number one. There is already plenty of risk in soccer without adding to it. Two, health... winter sports like skiing and hockey have participants dressed for the weather and in proper gear to stay warm and dry. No way those players were dry given the conditions.

So, no, Juve that's a fail in one of the most critical and important aspects of a coach's responsibilities: Managing the performance environment

As to training inside, well, my players have trained indoors since December and we've had zero cases. Wear a mask, take simple precautions and it's fine. Please stop with the Covid excuses for Juve not getting indoor space: They grew too fast, taking on too many teams in the demise of GPS and didn't have the field space/locations to transition indoor. For $4000 + a year, that just seems like poor planning.

Everyone thought the 08 teams would be turned upside down but they're basically the same plus 1 or 2 new players. I haven't heard of any outside players coming to either 08 Blue or White.

That's surprising, especially with regards to the white team, which generally performed quite poorly this year.

Scorps came to play and Blue barely showed. Blue got the W thanks to a nonsense pk but while clearly there is a largw skill gap between the teams w/ scorps new players next year this will be must watch u14 soccer

Much watch soccer? Let Scorpions win a few games before we put them in prime time. I know I know a few new players coming in and will be much improved. Long way to go though and my guess is all the other ECNL teams are adding new players too.

by this time next year it could very well be all 3 ECNL teams 1,2,3. Look for NEFC and Aztec defections to ECNL sometime this year.

1. Stars Blue- ECNL
2. Scorpions - ECNL
3. Stars White- ECNL
4. New England Surf - ???
5. NEFC - GA
6. Aztecs- IMPACT NPL
7. Select - GA

not the OP but i watch a lot of soccer. and if you saw the 07 scorps crush stars blue last night then you know why the 08 team will make a monster leap next year

Each age group is different. Scorpions 07 were successful at u13 as well. Improved some more in u14. They did not have to make a monster leap. The 08 team would need to take a monster leap to get out of basement of ecnl. May very well happen but it is far from guaranteed.

Two team practices in Taunton and a skills night in either Medway or Weymouth. Go to which ever is closer.

Good luck to select 08’s as they try and qualify for GA playoffs in 2 weeks. They need to win both games in order to qualify for the GA championships. Me personally i hope they do it. What an honor it would be for the girls to make the playoffs. Good luck select go and try to bring the ship back to select.
