winter training fees
League fees (almost always included)
SC and other tournament application fees (which tournaments and how many are included)
coach's travel costs
Keeper training (if your kid is a keep - yes there are clubs who have charged separate fees for mandatory keep training)

If the team travels to tournaments then you need to estimate at least $200 a day base for parent and child plus airfare.

A fee of $1000 may sound great but if you are hit up for $100 for this tournament or that indoor league every month, you'll soon see your fee rise to $2000 plus travel.

$1300 and only one tourney? Scorps charged $1270 last year for my kid and that included 4 tournaments. I guess BB and PM have to get paid somehow though.

WRONG - Your club may not but my kid's club DOES and has for the last two years. My kid's club fee includes -

training gear
winter training fees
League fees
SC and other tournament application fees (which tournaments and how many are included)
coach's travel costs
Keeper training

It does not include unis, parent/kid travel etc. The tournaments are defined in advance and the application fee and any coach's costs ARE budgeted into the fee - which means that different teams have different fees. It must be an accounting nightmare, but from a parent perspective it works nicely.
