I heard about that too. The tournament is implementing reasonable controls and moving forward.

Meanwhile, back at the farm, our kids can't scrimmage with their own teams.

MA Phase-Step doesn't allow for tournaments. NH does, so book the fields there.
      everyone will go

That is an interesting point. It's speculation of course but for all the "everything should be cancelled" posts we see on this site I agree that if a club held a tournament in NH and teams from MA were invited I bet nearly everyone would go. I know every player on my kid's team would go - every last one.

Isn't Maura Healey suing a NH company for legally selling fireworks in NH? MA.gov loves to chase people that break their rules.

This is what AAU teams in Mass are doing. Our tourney last week was in Derry. This weekend we’re heading to Nashua.

Moderate risk sports still aren’t allowed tournaments, I can’t see that opening up that far quite yet, big step today, don’t see another big one for awhile

Agree. I don’t expect any tournaments will be allowed in MA in 2020, likely going into 2021. Additionally it appears that Mass Youth Soccer is limiting the number of teams playing each other to 4 or 5, to limit travel and possible risk of COVID spread, Smart idea. I wonder if club leagues will do the same.

Do you want to travel to a hot state now? That list is quite long. NE states will likely limit travel as well, even though their numbers are ok now. They want to keep it that way.

Realistically I don't think many families want to road trip just for meanginless events either. Aug-Nov is all teams <U15 so no showcases, nothing deemed necessary.

Just the opposite. No tournaments allowed in MA until phase 4. Teams in Ma will travel out of state to low risk areas to play tournaments.

Not many low risk states. Not sure if CT or NY are also limiting who come can come in?

NJ is allowing MA teams to come in. Some are already scheduled for PDA tourney.

Does this include the state High School tournament

Delay start to the season but I don't know if post season has been decided yet. NY won't have post season and CT is meeting this week on it.
