There is no "thread" but it has been said that the current Scorps U13 Elite is the weakest of all the elite teams. Seems like they'd want to make changes.. if possible.

You will find out very very quickly that the new coach isn't an up grade from the last. The new coach and the old are similar, no track record, great at their own self promotion the only difference being is the old coach has attempted to take a group/groups of 8-9 year olds and develop them into soccer players. It looks like the new coach wants to recruit and take the credit. The current Scorps u13 is a strong group that needs a little more time but bringing in as many players who have been cut or moved from other teams isn't the answer. Some else (not me) said this is the weakest team at Scorps, it may just get weaker. I'm also hearing that they are promising Region 1 soccer in the spring, the only lock are the Stars (SC winners) and next in line will be Western (played Sub reg in the spring and SC finalist) Region 1 won't take 3 teams from Ma into the Region 1 league at u14. Don't make promises you can't keep.

The club is counting on this age group to pick up the slack, if they have any shot at making the ECNL this age group has to win some top level tournaments or get into Region 1. Thats going to take alot of time, effort, travel, cash and most of all better coaching.

Hope they get some good pickups at tryouts or Marino's recruiting efforts. They're
losing some decent players to the Eagles. The group that's left is only so-so.
