Nobody is playing soccer in May. Summer events have already started to cancel.

I haven't heard a thing. We, like many, are scheduled for PDA.
Nothing I would like more than to have Mem Day be the gateway to normalcy, and head to NJ to watch soccer. I'm not kidding, beach and golf can be played later. but I'm having a tough time seeing how they make this work. The SJW hysterical crowd won't let it happen.

Risk for the players is pretty close to zero. I get it, I get it, its' everyone else we are concerned about. But the testing is revealing we've all been exposed anyway. Maybe we can get icons tattooed to our forearms as we gain immunity to each virus - just flash your arm and show the latest immunity icon - all clear!.

Lol, right now? When they’re supposed to be “in school”? Here’s some advice, tell your kid to hit the books. He’ll get more out of it in life. Especially if your kid’s school isn’t working virtual classes via zoom or such and isn’t getting much quality education right now.

No soccer (club or HS) in 2020.

Yup. The entire thing started as a exercise to "flatten the curve" but that has been co-opted by an incredibly organized SJW crowd into something much more sinister.

The models have been stunningly wrong from the beginning, but those facts have not been questioned by our unelected mass media overlords.

It took a week for this study to be picked up nationally, and then it was dropped with no follow up and no questioning of what the heck are we doing?

Yea. your kid sits in front of their computer all day?
Mines been at the turf since 9:15 doing the Homework JD gave her.

As for her life and hitting the books, I think she'll be OK

US Club Soccer sent an email yesterday with May 18th (I think) start date but they note local conditions may dictate something else. No one will have Memorial day events and definitely none in the hard hit NE. We'll be lucky if teams can even have practices after Mid May. Mine kids are working out and doing what they can, but they've accepted the season that never started is over.

Many schools don't require you to be learning at any one specific time. A teacher here or there might have a required group class or something, but at home learning is generally very flexible.

Memorial Day tournaments may happen or not, but college coaches will not be allowed to go watch, as the NCAA has declared a "Dead Period" through May 31.

False. If there is school in the fall there is high school soccer. If there's school, there's sports.

196 children died from the flu this season (vaccine)
3 children have died with Covid (no vaccine)

School will resume, and so will sports

Stop! people who use phrases like "I listen to science" can't stand when data from sources like CDC completely contradict their narrative, because they can't blame Fox News.

What I find interesting is it seems like the same people who rail on clubs as greedy and all about the $$ are OK with nursing homes propping up granny up for an extra year to keep the payments coming. Totally accept that this is blunt but more than 50% of all COVID deaths are people over 75 and over half of those are over 85. COVID is pruning branches off the human tree
